Neptunes Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Canacona - South Goa, India

Basic beach hut. Our hut didn't have air con so uncomfortably hot at times (March visit) The staff are friendly, but service is slow. Food nice. Great location on Palolem beach. They will clean your hut if you ask them. Overall, I'd stay again. We paid 2000 rupees a night, so cheaper accommodation available in the area, but we thought a fair price to be so close to the beach. They play background music but not too loud and all music seems to stop by 10.30.

Stayed 3 nights with family. Service is very poor. Non enthusiastic staff. You have to ask for towels and other basic facilities. There was power cut and water shortage. found plastic in food. AC was kot working aptly during noon. Cake ordered for anniversary celebration was very substandard. Owner was not ready to take any action despite accepting the feedback. Overall not worth of.money because of lack of professionalism and care for quality service to guest.

The rooms very nice and clean. The staff is polite and good. They also allowed us for early check-in. The view from room is awesome. Everything was perfect. The room rates should have been little less. The view from room. We had booked sea view ac cottage.

Amazing view from the cottages.....Nice courteous staff.....Highly recommended Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Goa. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, our names were mentioned on the board and we were upgraded. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The second day we did a village trekking. I truly enjoyed walking the three of us through the village. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural bath on the end was a great way to end the trekking. Note, this is not a 4/5 hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

I stayed for 2 nights at the Neptune Point Beach Resort and had a okay sort of experience. The staff at this location has a different attitude towards Indian guests and foreigner guests. Generally they give the best facilities to the foreigners and give the bad options to the Indians. For example, I had booked a non-AC room and the room I got (number 10) had a bad drainage in the attached bathroom. Also the bathroom floor was covered with plastic carpet, which was aiding to the problem.The water was not flowing out properly through the exhaust outlet. Whereas there are other similar non-AC rooms (number 18) where the bathroom floor was laid with ceramic tiles and had proper water flow through the outlet. Also we were not given bath towels even after several hours of entering our room. Only after we saw that bath towels are being given to others guests/foreigners, we had to go to the reception and ask for bath towel and after that they provided us the bath towels. Also if you order any food from the restaurant, make sure you keep a note of the name of the food and how many quantity you are ordering, or they will add extra in your bill. For example, during our lunch on the first day, we ordered only one packaged mineral water bottle, however when I went to pay for it through the next day after lunch, I saw that they added one extra bottle of water to the list. Again, we ordered one kingfish from the live seafood counter and while ordering, they mentioned the price is 1100 INR, but while paying, they increased it to 1200 INR. When I challenged them, they argued back saying that they had said 1200 INR and it was me who didn't hear them correctly or forgot the amount that they said. So these are some of the way in which they cheat their guests, so be careful. Also the complimentary breakfast is a total waste and not fit for eating. Every day they make some puri-sabji for breakfast, where the puri is dripping with excess oil and the sabji is deliberately made so spicy and full of oil, that you can't even think of eating it. Also the free wifi is of very bad quality, most of the time you will find that it's not working. The only good part about this beach resort is the ambience and the fact that it is located right on the sands of the sea beach. You can watch the waves from your room and the sea water is located just 20 meters away from your doorstep. The paid food quality was good. Overall, it was a mixed experience for us while staying at this place.

We had booked a sea-facing AC cottage. The good part is the location.. the view from sea-facing cottages is excellent! The same thing cannot be said about room condition and service though.. both were well below average. The room was not cleaned before our arrival, carpet was wet, and flush in the toilet was not working. The "restaurant" is in the ground floor and rooms are on the upper deck. The ambience of the restaurant is very good. The music and view of the beach create an excellent environment. One can just sit there and spend idle time relaxing. In terms of food, breakfast is for name-sake only and tastes average. One should not depend on it for a heavy/hearty breakfast. Tea was watery, as was cold coffee. White sauce pasta was tasty and was the only dish we liked. Blue Lagoon drink can not even be called a failed attempt - too bad. Choose this place for it's location.

Amazing beach huts. We took the water view ones which have an awesome beach front view. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and serve you. On the day we arrived we got lost funding the place, called them for directions from the main road and they immediately sent someone to meet us! Food is awesome and drinks are cheap! The rooms are basic and well above par for the area, no hot water but to be honest, with the heat you don't kiss it Stay here for sure! We will!

Staff is really nice . Ambience is really nice near the beach . But.....few things needs to be escalated to the management for their good. Load shedding every hour. Even in december its hot during days. Ac doesn't help since Electricity is not there. So taking a Ac room was also for vein. Current fluctuation is continuous .the speed of the fan keeps going slow...fast ..slow...and the Ac keeps getting off and on. Now since the electricity is not there wifi also is uncertain most of the time . The wardrobe door broken from day one from our stay and didn't get repaired till 5 days. Water supply is stopped during night. So during odd hours you'll have to Call at the reception to get water in the bathroom. The bed back fell down the second day. Throughout the day there is vibration and during the night also. Anyone walking creates loud sound and vibrations. SO at night you'll get up many times with the sound and floor vibrations. There is no fridge in the room. No television. Only two plug points are there. And that also only one works. Didn't get repaired till 5 days Since our room was on the first floor there was no proper sealing of the walls and roof that's why the cool from the Ac was not holding in the room. Hot air was coming in continuously. Geyser was there but hot water never came.
