Actually it is Ladakh of Uttrakhand. Make sure you will get a permit from Uttarkashi DM office to go to Nelong valley. It has one of the best scenic beauty and amazing landscape. The closing time is 3pm so maye sure to plan you trip accordingly.
I was so mesmerized by the beauty of landscape that I drove very slowly so that I don't miss the view.

Must visit this scenic valley. Don't forget to thank our soldiers who are up there guarding our boundaries 24X7 in a very adverse climatic conditions. Need to apply for permit thru local contacts for going there. You will get a feel of Leh-Laddakh for sure.
It's an incredibly good place and a very beautiful one. I highly recommend that you visit here and enjoy the scenery. However, keep in mind that you won't find a place to stay here because it's an army area, and you can't stay here after 5 PM. You'll need to exit by 5 PM, and there are no restaurants available, so bring your own food and drinks. To visit here, you'll need permission, which you can obtain from the SDM office in Uttarkashi. After that, you can enter, but at the entry gate, there's a fee of 300 per head per person and 250 per car.
Beautiful place and truly heaven on earth.For nelong valley you have to take permission from sdm and four wheeler is mandatory,two wheeler is not allowed in nelong valley.For gartang gali its timing is 8:30 to 3pm 150 rs per person entry fee.Beautiful structure.Must visit place while you are visiting to gangotri or harshil valley.Best time to visit there is mid August and september.Thanks.
