Nellarachal - Tourist attraction in Wayanad - Wayanad, India

A fern leaf shaped lake which is spread wide in many directions is worth visiting quite a few times to explore its silence and bliss in all the times of a day. Very rarely explored. Recommended for book lovers

I felt really awesome after visiting this spot... First of all it look like lake, but after reaching there we can understand that this place is actually the backside of karapuzha dam... There are lot of water lilly in the water near to the shore.Additionally, there are lot of parking area for both four wheelers and two wheelers. Morning time and evening time is the most ideal time to visit the place. Near to this site about 500 meter is offroad... At the parking area there are ice cream dealers and coconut water dealers... All together the place is phentastic.... However, the sunset view is out of world... Must visit this place, there is no entry tickets

Had no idea about the place but was passing by it on our way back from Chembra Peak trek, got excited by slight peeks of the water so decided to visit inside. The view is amazing, no crowd at all, great to spend a lazy evening or may be catch the sunrise? There was no ticket system or management, and sadly there was a lot of littering. The tourism department should take care of this place as well like it does most other places in wayanad. Could see lovely lotuses but we were simply too tired from our trek to fully enjoy the place. A beautiful place worth exploring nonetheless.

Peacefull place was beautiful views, you also get Lotus to purchase here. Be safe don't try to go off the track here as your car may slide downhill into the water. Be safe, Happy Travelling....

Residents of wayanad who stay near this place are lucky to have such a beautiful scenic spot. Place is amidst nature with a view of the lake and mountains together. Good place to spend time during sunsets and sunrise..

Natural beauty,this place has a amazing peace . Working days are better to visit this place . There is no ticket to enter Lot of parking place for bike and car There is a mountain in opposite of the view if any one want to enter there there is a rod on side of the parking only bikes and 4 x 4 vehicles are enter there and it is a small off-road to

Good view but because of the ice cream trucks and other stalls.. too much garbage and plastic everywhere. Didn't expect this from Kerala.

A place filled of greenery ...Lots of space to walk around ...Can have beautiful view of the sky by sitting in the meadows....There is amble car parking ...There is no entry fees ...We can enjoy the beauty of the sky ,meadows ,water lillies in the midst of slight breeze.... Littering in the water body and around the area spoils the beauty of the place to some extent....Also stray dogs are roaming here
