Good and neat place for family friends and couples.. entry was free only . They keep park neatly. Outside food also allowed. Nearby people can spend their time in this park nice and quiet..
We thought that Nehru park would be a vast humungous park, something like sentamizh poonga or guindy Children's park, considering that a metro station is named after it. It turned out to be this small Corporation park that you see in every locality. However it's a neat place. It is very clean. From there we can get a view of the sports complex behind. The two mounds in the neat well cut lawn add to the beauty of the landscape. A well paved walking path goes around the lawn. The mini gym has the usual set of body movement equipment. The highlight of the park is a colorful selfie point that stands out as a contrast to greenery of the grass. A smattering of flowering plants positioned around the lawn are a great to the eyes. Beautiful trees add to the visual appeal. A strange looking stone sculpture keeps you wondering what it represents.
Now opened after metro construction and corona. Garden maintenance is good. Nice place for morning walk. Very much useful for the residents around. But people should understand their own responsibilities to follow the disciplines.
Biggest park in very busy area, children play area, walking track, environment are good.
Better Service, to improve the arrangement for Disabled. More than a hour standing in the track between 8.55 AM to 10.15 AM for Commissioner Arrival for Inauguration by the disabled with escorts. As per schedule arrived by the Commissioner, but bottom line state Govt. Officials, Organisers plan accordingly. The ground has definitely improved a lot but the track still looks uneven. Rest room is renovated and is good to use.
Nehru Park Metro Station is maintained reasonably well. Only smart cards are issued in the place of normal printed tickets or smart tokens. Security presence needs improvement. Currently (December 2017), this is the terminal station of Metro services.
