Nice place to for morning walk
Neelpukur is a large, serene pond(pukur means pond in Bengali) in Survey Park, Santoshpur. It is situated near Kishore Bharati Stadium. Earlier this pond was used by the Stadium authorities for training advanced swimmers and conducting swimming competitions. Afterwards they built large swimming pools inside the Stadium which reduced the importance of Neelpukur. Nevertheless, the place is ideal for peaceful morning and evening walks.
I have seen this pond 'Neelpulur' as I went to attend a marriage ceremony in the locality. It's a beautiful big pond. It magnifies the natural beauty of the locality exponentially. It also preserve the ecology. Due to this pond and greenery surrounding, this area remains vool as compared to other parts of the city. Morning walkers' heaven. All because of the pond. Would give it a five star.
The best thing about this place is that it's a very peaceful place and a perfect place to spend an evening with friends by the lake
