Cane here after people telling me it's a nice budget friendly place. But prices have been increased. Biryani was around 190rs, Starter was 200+. So it's was just like any other restaurants in the area. Chicken Starter was delicious, i think it was called Coriander Chicken. Chicken Biryani was alright. Overall found it pricey for it's advertised.
Unexpected taste in the heart of Panjim
Location : Neelam Bar and Restaurant, near Ferry point, Panjim - Goa.
* The Chicken Biryani here is a must try . Every piece of the meat is wholesomely covered with the rightly spiced biryani masala.
* The fish thali comprises of rice, fish curry, fried mackerel, vegetable kismoor, solkadi with salad and pickle.
* The chicken masala along with Malabar parotta too makes for a great combo. The masala is a combination of Indian & Chinese flavours.
* The ambience here is local with a basic setting, but good enough to enjoy a delicious meal. The manager is quite friendly and suggests some great dishes.

Neelam's has always been an iconic restaurant in the city of Panjim. Located right across the ferry wharf, now under the new management the place is extremely family friendly.
The owner seems very hospitable and a delight to talk to! Go here for some really good Goan food, oh and the chicken cafreal with bread is definitely recommended!
Such a lovely place located at a very amazing spot, I heard about this place from my friends alot of times and i will say I'm glad that i finally visited the place. Their fish thali was just amazing the fish(modso) was cooked perfectly i.e it had nice flavors and chirpy semolina coating outside which kept the fish nice and juicy inside. The hygiene facts are kept in mind and practised well. I recommend all to visit the place and i will definitely visit again. Not to forget the people who all are managing everything they all were very friendly and prompt kudos to the team
Just opposite the ferry boat lies this amazing place... A cute set up and a must stop for That Thali they also have a variety of sea food options available. Personally recommend this place, it's a total value for money... And yes very affordable too..
