Nautanwa is a town and Nagar Palika in Maharajganj district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is about 87 km from Gorakhpur, NH24 and 68 km NH730 from Maharajganj and 7 km from Sonauli Indo-Nepal Border.

Nice place,no expensive

Poorly maintained, no foot over bridge for passengers to cross platforms which results in lot of harassment for the passengers

Education wise : Good till 12th Health wise : Bad .No specialised hospital available. Connectivity : Average . Difficult to find public transport after 8 in the evening. Cost of land : Really expensive as it is one of the most developed towns nearby. Night life : No night life or good hotels to stay.Might have to go to nepal which is 8 kms where you can find good hotels to stay. Nearby big city is Gorakhpur which is around 85 kms ( 3 hrs journey by bus )

The cleanliness here could be better, By the way, this station is very good.This is especially beneficial for the people going to Gorakhpur.The train sometimes comes a little late.This is the very best railway station.
