Very fortunate to have arranged a long held ambition to visit Corbett through Nature Safari India. Great communication, advice and assistance in the build up to booking the trip. The delivery of service from Delhi hotel pick up, organising the safari and stay in Dhikala, the drivers / guides to my return to airport was absolutely first class. Nature Safari were superb in taking fantastic care of my needs and providing everything we could have imagined on this wonderful experience at Corbett. Among the guides and drivers of other guests, everyone was glowing in their praise of Nature Safari and rightly so. I will definitely use this company again for my next family trip to India. I would like to extend a very special thank you to Deepkul, the tour organiser, Mr Gopal, the driver and Rehman, the Naturist within Corbett. You are all a great credit to Nature Safari and I thank you for making this a special and unforgettable experience for me.
I have used Nature Safari India 2 times in the past, and had booked a trip for the family for april 2020. Arrival was 2 days after India closed the borders, so no chance of going. Sharad quickly wrote me, that he would try to keep all our money safe, as they were already payed to hotels ect. He kept his promise, and plans were made for april 22. Finally it was time to go and everything went super smooth as planned. The level of service this company provide is top level. There has not been a second on our 3 trips, where we have had the feeling, that things were out of control or so. Nature Safari India has always managed to get excellent drivers for us, which is reflected in the numbers of tigers and other wildlife we have seen. On the last trip we had a total of 16 drives, and saw 18 different individual tigers. To top that up, we saw jackals, loads of bird and a leopard. I would highly recommend this company to everyone, and it is not last time i use them for sure
Although it was a year ago since we travelled with Nature Safari India, our memories are as clear as if it were yesterday. We were extremely impressed with Mr Abhishek Kumar and other staff at Nature Safari India. Our booking was delayed by two years due to COVID-19 but at all times they kept in touch with us and, when we were finally able to travel, they negotiated with hotels and other companies for our agreed costs to be honoured. All accommodation was excellent in each of the parks we visited (Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh). The drivers and guides were knowledgeable, we saw many tigers and other animals during the course of 18 safaris. Arrangements to transport us between lodges were seamless and the drivers were very careful. Abhishek maintained contact with us at all times during our visit and even met us at the airport very late at night and again early the next morning. We could not fault him or the whole experience at all and would highly recommend this company.
While other reviewers have already sung all the praises, I thought a perspective from the USA might be helpful. My wife and I are avid amateur wildlife photographers. we have been blessed to be able to pursue our passion in South Africa, Botswana and Tanzania. The national parks of India are robust with wildlife that cannot be seen elsewhere. The lodges and air transportation are as good or better than any African country. Furthermore, we found Nature Safari India's costs to be about half of a comparable African safari. We prefer to travel independently as a couple, but that always means a lot of research and a reputable travel agent. After reading the glowing reviews we decided to investigate Nature Safari India, as well as a trusted US travel agent. The advice, attention to detail, congeniality, and cost made our choice obvious. We've always found that the best safaris are organized by people whose background is nature and photography, rather than tourism. Shamar Kumar Vats, owner of Nature Safari India is well known throughout India for his passion for wildlife. We explained to Shamar what we wanted and the length of time (two weeks). He then set upon selecting the proper parks and itinerary, giving us several options, and making changes whenever we asked. Our email exchanges were often immediate, even outside his work hours, and always within a day. (India and the Midwest are 11.5 hours apart.) Sharad recommended Kanha and Bandhavgarh national parks and tiger reserves (four nights each) would be best for tigers. Since we were also interested in the "armor plated" Indian rhino, Sharad suggested three nights at Kaziranga National Park. He booked us an intervening Taj Mahal visit as well. Everything went according to plan. Our several transfers were always punctual. Even when airline flights had to change our itinerary was never significantly altered and we were never charged extra. The lodges in the three parks and the hotel in Agra are all among TripAdvisor's best, if not the best. Most of the food was Indian adjusted to be less spicy (presumably for a European palate). We enjoyed it and certainly felt well fed. At each of the three parks, Sharad had arranged for a private safari vehicle for just the two of us. Our naturalist was the same for the duration of each park, and they (David, Raghu and Martin) were remarkable. A great naturalist must obviously know the wildlife, but also needs razor sharp vision and the ability to position a Maruti Gypsy vehicle for that perfect photo angle. Suffice it to say that in every park, we never found a naturalist better than ours. Results? Out of fifteen tiger safaris, we had thirteen major tiger sightings, including two different sets of small cubs. We were treated to some rare encounters with a sloth bear and a leopard. We also enjoyed numerous deer from the large sambar to the tiny barking deer; as well as swamp, spotted and hog-nosed deer. We never got tired of encounters with gaur, the largest bovine species on earth, or the amazing horn-span of wild water buffalo. We saw countless rhinos and wild Asian elephants. These parks would be a birder's paradise - from the brilliant colors of Indian kingfishers, great hornbills, Indian rollers, and golden orioles to the several varieties of eagle and owl. At one point a snake eagle flew close by dangling its bar-headed goose kill. Another time a pied kingfisher demonstrated its uncanny ability to hover in mid air. As for the Taj, what could be better than a sunset view of the majestic marble viewed from the Agra Fort, followed by a sunrise on-site visit the next morning. The late February to early March time turned out to be a good choice, since underbrush was mostly brown improving visibility, especially in Kanha and Bandhavgarh. Mornings could be cool if there was a long ride to a park gate. (A T-shirt, shirt, fleece and raincoat seemed to work.) Afternoon safaris we comfortable in just a safari shirt. We were also pleased to see many baby animals this time of year. In short, the Nature Safari India is tops!
Thank you Nature Safari for organising one of the best holidays I have ever had. I visited Corbett and Bandhavgarh tiger reserves, looked for leopards in Bera and saw lots of lions in Gir. Fabulous. The Guides and drivers were excellent (never ever drive yourself, or get a one-way ticket) and very professional and the hotels were superb. The Government Lodge in Corbett is a bit basic, but the ambiance is great and you avoid a long treck in and out of the park. I went early February when you need to wrap up warmly. This was my second safri with Nature safari and I am planning a third next year.
Sharad and his team are absolutely top notch. They put together an amazing two week tour of India that included temples, tigers and towns -- with incredible experiences and people. From the beginning, Sharad was extremely helpful in planning our adventure, making excellent suggestions and then tailoring the trip to our preferences. We received constant attention throughout our travels and were welcomed with drivers and guides at every stop. When flights were cancelled or changes needed, Sharad's team remained in contact and made quick adjustments to our itinerary. We were very comfortable no matter the circumstances as we had complete trust in the team. We experienced Delhi, Agra, Varanasi and two tiger resorts -- Bandhavgarh and Kanha. Each brought different joys and wonders that must be experienced to be believed. In Delhi and Agra, we had an amazing driver (Parveen!) who deftly navigated the crazy traffic with skill, patience and humor. He had extensive local knowledge and found us wonderful places to visit and eat. At Singinawa Jungle Lodge in Bandhavgarh, we had incredible naturalists and a resort team that was a warm, inviting family. We have been on many safaris in Africa, and traveled to many countries, but nowhere have we felt as welcomed as we did at Singinawa. Kanha was stunningly beautiful, with equally beautiful lodging at the Treehouse Hideaway. In Varansi, we were guided by Pulkit, who is extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We will definitely return to India, and we will definitely use Sharad and his team. We could not be happier with all that they did for us.
Very happy with Nature Safaris. Well organised. Good communicators. Ensured all went well while in India -especially as my trip ended up being a hybrid of pe-COVID bookings and extras that I added on. Very pleased to se my Rusty Spotted Cat - thanks Atul Kumar (naturalist in Bandhavgarh). And 30-plus tigers, 12 leopard. 39 mammals in all plus quite a few reptiles/amphibians. Special thanks to Deepkul for his organsation and attentiveness.
5 is not enough for a rating. NSI deserves a 10. I was very pleased with the arrangements. Deepkul customized a tour for me and made sure every attention to detail was taken care. The guides were amazing and very knowledgeable. I had flight delays that had nothing to do with them and they adapted so well the schedule and picked me up on time. I am very pleased and next time I go to India will use their services again. They will accommodate any budget and any amount of people. Got to see lots of tigers and their recommendations were fantastic for hotels and lodges. Thank so much Deepkul and Nature Safari India.
