Nattukottai Mess - Triplicane - Restaurant in Chennai - Chennai, India

Visited on Friday around 12.30pm for lunch. We ordered 2 non veg meals, 2 Vavval fry, 1 vanjaram fry, mutton chukka,2 omelette,1 musk melon ,fresh lime juice,prawn 65 It did take time since we went during shop opening timing, but the food and service was top notch. Fresh fish was bought and prepared perfectly and the meals were too good have with it. Parking seems to be limited so plan accordingly with friends/family. They have changed the name to Nattukottai Mess.

Hi Guys....Dont get fooled to come and have food here. I was totally disappointed. I had huge bad experience about nattukottai food in Triplicane. At first food price very costly here and not to be given good food as well as worst making food here and also some gravy over salt added and some gravy salt not to be added. Recently I've ordered Non-veg meals everyone have to see below screen shot that was ordered in Nattukottai Mess. These rice was not cooking well furthermore serving to the every customer. Totally it's been worthless hotel.

Place is very neat and food tastes are not bad. Their chicken and mutton kuzombu is very tasty. I ordered kizhi parota they have very huge quantity not able to complete it, but taste was good. One thing was different they gave kothu parota in the name of kizhi parota but taste was good I ordered kalki, it's one of the worst kalaki I ate in Chennai. Podi idli is good must try dish and don't order onion uthapam my personal suggestion.

Update: next day i came back for the traditional veg meal. Amazing! 120 is a wonderful price for this food! Just came for chai and a nice place to sit. No chai, but wonderful mushroom soup! Very friendly and beautiful family owned business. Very welcoming and kind and loving

Don't get fooled by the Kari virundhu combo, they have all these different types of sides which only fits in a very small katori, and more than non veg you get only veg curries, definitely not worth the price, meanwhile the noodles was rather good

I love Indian food, so I was pretty excited when I found out about a new Indian restaurant in town. The restaurant has a traditional look to it. I was greeted by the host. The menu had a good selection of dishes, but I decided to order the sampler platter so that I could try a little bit of everything. The waiter brought out my food and it smelled amazing! The platter came with Chicken Kari Dosai, Mutton Briyani, Nattukozhi Kothu Parotta, Prawn Thokku, Surra Puttu. The Surra Puttu was my favourite dish - it was so tender and juicy! The dish was prepared by her grandmother. Taste was awesome.
