First time visit and verry great full experience. For this memorial place.* ( To me this looks like a good facility for the elderly and handicapped). Because there is everything inside. The place is nice and clean. And yes, if the lights are off like this, they need to be turned on. I have given all the information that I can. If there is any new interest, you can see
We felt extremely good and positive while visiting Dandi Satyagraha Memorial. Passing through various small villages, the drive to Dandi itself was so beautiful. Mahatma Gandhi himself praised "Dandi as his Haridwar", a place of spiritual pilgrimage. Mahatma Gandhi & marchers began their march from Karadi to Dandi early in the morning on 5th April, 1930 after their prayer meet. They had reached this final destination after 24 Days, along with 80 Marchers, visiting more than 21 places and walking about 390 Kilometer long walk from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi. Finally reaching Dandi, they took a pinch salt, a simple act that shook the British empire and the message for India's independence resounded through the world. This Dandi Satyagraha Memorial opened on 30 January 2019 in Dandi, Gujarat, showcases the activists of the Salt Satyagraha, an act of nonviolent civil disobedience in colonial India which was led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1930. Spread over a 15 acres land and located in the beautiful coastal town of Dandi, where the Salt March ended on 5 April 1930 and the British salt monopoly was broken by producing salt by boiling sea water. This memorial is a net Zero-Energy centre with 40 Solar Trees providing energy to the entire memorial. There are several solar salt making pans and the visitors are allowed to take a sample of salt home. Sirajudin Vasi Seth Invited Mahatma Gandhi to stay in his Saifee Villa. Saifee Villa is a place of importance where on 5th April 1930 Mahatma Gandhi stayed at night prior to the historical event of Salt Satyagraha against the Salt law implemented by the British government during the colonial rule. This beautiful memorial consist of a welcome centre which houses a library, a book shop and an auditorium. The pathway along the lake symbolises the path of the Dandi March, 5 meter high statue of the Mahatma Gandhi, 80 Bronze statues of the marchers walked along with Mahatma Gandhi, a salt making pan, an artificial lake and the Pyramid of Light.. A must visit place with your family if you are in and around Navsari, Gujarat.
It was an absolute pleasure experience to walk here and be here. Everyone should visit this place if they wants to know more about our history specially Mahatma Gandhi and his unforgettable works for the country. Also, this a nice place for the family and kids.
It's place good but it's microscope exhibition staff behaviour not good.its Rudly behave with public as like bagger.my child very eager to see the microscope but lady Rudly behave with my wife and not showing microscope to my child.i request to management give instruction to staff for visitor treat as guest not bagger.
Monuments of Gandhiji and his memories have been specially preserved and opened for visitors in such a way that one can inspect them themselves and can easily educate young children about Gandhiji. The memorials of Gandhiji and the stone carvings at a short distance are amazing and very well preserved, but security guards are placed at a short distance to prevent any harm or injury. And the solar panels designed in the shape of trees are a wonderful sight that attracts the visitors. And the monuments of Gandhiji in Satyagraha and the laser beams on it during the night are very amazing views.
