NIT Goa will provide you with many more opportunities. You will get ample amount of time to do research and publish papers where you will get an opportunity to work under the guidance of some highly qualified professors. Companies like Barclay Card USA, Amazon, Samsung, LnT Infotech, Polaris, AQ, Mu Sigma come to the institute for campus placements. About faculties, you would be amazed to see people who with Publication and Projects. Only con is that it has not a great campus as compared to other old NITs. Otherwise a good college.

Faculty: Have a look onto any department faculty list in NIT Goa, you would be amazed to see people who with Publication and Projects. You hardly find a mach anywhere close to this. Research Collaborations: As NIT Goa hosts finest faculty, creators of a field of science, and fathers of new areas, they have contacts all across the globe. Their labs are so famous that the students can easily get accepted in any of the top university in any nation. Officially NIT Goa have many research collaboration with industry. Placements: with all these usually student don't look for placements. Though they have a lot of enthu for placements in their first year but as they spend more time in NIT Goa they mostly tend to move to research. Even I have friends who did MTech from NIT Goa, joined Software industry at great position and left the industry and went back to pure research again. Apart from that placements are far better and for better positions in NIT Goa.

I have been to this place in December 2016 for around twenty days. It is located in the interiors and is almost equidistant from Panjim and Goa Airport. You can take taxi to reach here if you come by train or airplane and it will not cost you much. NIT Goa is among the new NITs and is facing similar problems as most of it's siblings. I wonder how could the authorities have a polytechnic, an engineering college and an NIT on a single campus. This NIT is operating from a single building and seems dependent on the regional engineering college for most of infrastructural requirements. The hostels are scarce for NIT students and are in very bad shape. The guest house, in the control of the engineering college, is not up to the standards and lacks basic facilities like water. During your stay there you will be left at your own with almost no institutional support. The upside is the faculty and students of the institute as they are working hard to earn name and fame for their institute despite all these drawbacks. The people of Goa are really very nice and helpful. They are always available to provide you lift wherever you need. Last but not the least, you are Goa folks!

1.There are buses outside the station, they charge you around 30-50 rs to the main bus stand. 2. From the main bus stand get into panaji Or ponda bus , charges 30 for ponda and 40/50 for farmagudi stop 3. If you get down at ponda, there you get buses to farmagudi charges 10rs.. 4. From there you can directly find the route to NIT around 2.5 km walk

It is one of d best campus I have ever seen till date the whole campus is nicely tiled and we'll painted .The campus is very clean and tidy and very secured too . 24 x 7 security guards r present and campus is nicely bounded by walls which makes it a very secure campus .it even has hostel facility

It's situated together with IIT GOA, GOA ENGINEERING COLLEGE in 1 campus only. Though very soon it's shifting to a new campus on North Goa which is much bigger and dedicated specially to NIT
