Here lies a hidden gem within Lodhi Garden. The term 'Bonsai,' of Japanese origin, translates to 'planted in a container.' This art form has its roots in an ancient Chinese horticultural practice, which later evolved significantly under the influence of Japanese Zen Buddhism. Within this park, you'll encounter a diverse collection of exquisitely planted and thoughtfully displayed bonsais. Regrettably, many visitors often overlook this park. However, if you do wish to explore this serene spot, it's conveniently located near the Ashoka gate of Lodhi Garden. The park offers a tranquil atmosphere and is a must-visit, especially for the meticulous display of bonsais, each adorned with its name.

Fabulous collection of bonsais, each of which is a work of art. It's tucked away in a corner of Lodhi Gardens and can be easily overlooked but it's worth going there just for this

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the National Bonsai Park located within the beautiful Lodhi Garden in Delhi. As a bonsai enthusiast, I was eager to explore this renowned venue, and I must say that it did not disappoint. The park itself is nestled within the lush greenery of Lodhi Garden, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere that transports you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Upon entering the park, I was immediately struck by the well-maintained pathways and the overall cleanliness of the surroundings. The collection of bonsai trees at the National Bonsai Park is truly impressive. The attention to detail and the level of care put into each tree is evident, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship behind the creation of these miniature masterpieces. The variety of species on display was extensive, ranging from traditional Japanese bonsai to local Indian varieties, offering a diverse and captivating experience. What impressed me the most was the knowledgeable staff at the park. They were friendly, approachable, and readily shared their expertise, answering all my questions with enthusiasm. Their passion for bonsai was infectious, and their willingness to educate visitors about the art form added immense value to the overall experience. The park's layout is well-designed, with strategically placed benches and viewing areas that allow visitors to appreciate the bonsai trees from different angles. It was a joy to sit and marvel at the intricate details of each tree, as well as the skillful pruning and shaping techniques that have been employed to create these living sculptures. One aspect that could be improved is the signage and information available within the park. While the staff was more than willing to provide information, having informative signboards or pamphlets near each tree would enhance the self-guided experience and enable visitors to learn more at their own pace. In conclusion, the National Bonsai Park within Lodhi Garden is a hidden gem for bonsai enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. It offers a serene and enchanting setting where one can escape the chaos of the city and immerse themselves in the beauty and tranquility of these miniature living artworks. With its dedicated staff and impressive collection, the park is a testament to the art of bonsai and a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and peaceful experience in Delhi.

Well this is the hidden beauty in Lodhi garden. The word Bonsai is a Japanese term which means "planted in a container". This art form is derived from an ancient Chinese horticultural practice, part of which was then redeveloped under the influence of Japanese Zen Buddhism. This park has a variety of bonsais beautifully planted and displayed. Generally, this place is missed by most of the people but if you do want to visit this place, this park is near Ashoka gate of Lodhi Garden. It is a peaceful place and a must visit as the bonsais are placed in a clean way with their names.

On entering the main gate of the Lodhi garden the entrance to the bonsai park is on the right side and is narrow. Hundreds of bonsai Indian trees are on display over a well-paved and sprawling section garden which is lush green and is blessed with a cover with a think bush and vegetation. bonsai plants are well labeled and plenty of information is displayed via large boards vividly painted with pictures of the trees. Since the park is vast and involves plenty of walking it is recommended to carry or plenty of water or an energy drink even in winter. There is also a children's play park adjacent to the park with modern play equipment. Accessibility Features: Yes=Ramp access. Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Entrance.
