This is a very good recreational place for kids. At the entrance you need to purchase a ticket for adults and for kids it is free. As you move towards your left you would find a big cage containing rabbits, parrots, rats, budgies and a lot of pigeons. Further ahead there are some slides and swings for the kids and then there is taramandal. After that there are class rooms dedicated to a variety of activities that member kids can participate in. There is a big playground as well and then there is a small canteen. There are fish aquariums as well. Last but not the least there is a mini train that runs at regular intervals which can be enjoyed after purchasing a minimal cost ticket. Overall it is an excellent place for kids.
Wonderful place to visit if you have kid of 3-10 years of age. It made me remember by childhood days. The area has expanded a lot. I visited with my wife and 3 year old daughter at around 2.30 pm. Car parking is free. There was no line at ticket counter as most people enter in the morning since the ticket counter is open wef 9am till 4.30 pm. The place is closed on Sunday, Mondays and public holidays. The entry fees is Rs20 and toy train ride charges are Rs 30. For children below 16 years both charges are free. We entered the premises and were advised to go for toy train ride and then roam around. We heeded and went straight away to railway station 'Delhi' where small toy train arrives at regular intervals of 10 minutes. It goes around Bal Bhavan giving a wonderful birds eye view of the whole premises moving at a slow pace. It also goes through a small tunnel. Children make lots of hoopla and noise therein making one reminiscing one's childhood giving goosebumps. Alighting from train, we took our daughter to nearby play area having swings. Then to 'Taramandal' which was locked. Then, we asked for musuem and aquarium which are located nearby canteen and across a huge park wherein children were playing and visitors were relaxing. The way to canteen which is very pocket friendly has ramp with railing on side which was helpful for me as I walk with calipers and two sticks but the ramp is a bit steep for wheelchair. From the canteen, ramp is there to the museum but no ramp is there to the aquarium. One has to take stairs to the the aquarium. From the museum, the village is inaccessible by wheelchair as one has to climb down four stairs without side railings. Through the village one reaches traffic park which has photo sites. From here, we again reached entry point. And entered, small children section wherein my daughter had a wonderful time on swings and standing in front of what they call 'jadui sheesha' Or 'Magic mirrors'. The place has free drinking water. The ticket counter doesn't accept UPI Or cards but only CASH. Overall, a good place to visit if you want to entertain your kid of aforementioned age and relive your childhood of you are born in 80s Or 90s. Accessible for disabled except for some places. Proper signage is NOT there, only a map at the entrance is provided. One has to ask from the guards. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Government should promote such places. I didn't plan this visit and it was an impromptu one and I do not regret it and it turned out to be marvelous and my 3 year enjoyed it a lot. Loved it. Thanks Bal Bhavan.
A good place to take your kids. A lot of activities for kids to enjoy like toy train, fish museum and air force museum. The place is quite old and needs renovation. Most of the indoor spaces are dilapidated and needs attention from the government. It has a lot of potential to become a wholesome activity centre for kids and teenagers. Toy train doesn't work most of the days.
People who would like to recall the childhood days should visit to this place and I m sure you will definitely start making picture in your mind what you did when you were in school. It also has train which is awesome

I visited national bal bhawan for admission to my daughter in Summer fiesta camp. For 23rd May to 23rd June Bal Bhawan will be closed for public visits. Only children who took admission in Summer camp can enter with their parents. I have enrolled my daughter in some activities and then we have taken a ride of their famous Toy Train. It was pleasant and the children enjoyed the ride so much. Timing of bal bhawan starts from 9:15 am to 4:30 pm. After the summer fiesta ends you can visit Bal Bhawan with your children to see the aquarium, Bird sanctuary, Muesium etc. and don't forget to take a ride on the Toy Train. After lots of good things, I have some suggestions for administration here. You are taking entry tickets and also this is Govt funded. So Bal bhawan should be well maintained. When I was on the toy train I saw the inner walls of bal bhawan not painted for more than 10 years. Bal bhawan officials should take care of broken things, they should be repaired or replaced.
Good place for enthusiastic students , also have hostel facility for student coming abroad
Best place for kids and young ones. They loved it. So many activities available to participate in Summer Camp. Worth to visit
