A 500 year old place, very beautiful and serene. Must visit for all the history loving people and archaeologists. There are many menhirs and dolmens , some of them are broken and about to fall behind the boundary wall. People should visit more for such amazing places. A detailed board about the history of this place may be written.

It's a Nice place. It has been preserved for hundreds of years by locals. It holds a major values for locals. For normal tourists it's not that much of a big deal. You can cover this place in half an hour max that too if you see and observe the place very slowly. Visiting this place makes sense if you are nearby or have extra days in your vacation. Around this place there is nothing much you can do so traveling to this place would really consume your time. It's a long route for other popular places.

The monolith garden is located in Nartiang which is a side area and very peaceful. There was a range of monliths spread across the garden which offers you a place to sit and relax. Moreover, you can get some really good pics here.

I am giving 4 stars because the beauty of the place was amazing and I would suggest to visit at least once to witness the beauty of history. Yes this place is quite far and in outer area from the City and there is nothing near by, From the different view angles It looks like a normal park with some shaped stones where you will not find much of a crowd that is good as well for your photography. Pls be alert from the local drinkers as we found few during the visit. There is no ticket for this place.

Very Nice Tourist place and of great Historical importance more and more people should visit. Also the Government should encourage Tourism Department to promote such important place and maintain the heritage of the State.

I ventured out to this park, quite a journey from the city. It was refreshingly devoid of the usual tourist hustle and bustle when I got there. The place is a visual treat, a photographer's dream with its aesthetics, perfect for snapping lovely pictures and creating reels. Now, the unique part is that I knew this park was more than just a pretty face; it's an archaeological goldmine, adorned with numerous monoliths. Locals shared that these imposing stone pillars bear witness to battles fought and won, dating back perhaps 500 years. The simplicity of these monoliths held a profound and silent power, as if they had ancient tales to share. I did, however, hope to find some informative signboards narrating the history, but it seems the place lacked those. Now, here's a tip: It's a small park, and you can leisurely explore it in just 10-15 minutes with a casual stroll. It's not worth making a dedicated trip here if you're on a tight schedule. It's fine for a solo visit, but don't prioritize it as the sole destination. It pairs well with a nearby temple visit. However, if you've got a group, consider packing some snacks and cold drinks for a mini picnic - the place has a cozy vibe that's perfect for it. One quirky note: please, please resist the urge to open the nearby toilet door.

A historical place worth visiting. However , its upkeep needs attention. Public toilets are in unusable state.

the biggest collection of monoliths or Megalithic stones in one single area is to be found north of the Nartiang market. These consists of Menhirs (Upright stones) Moo Shynrang and Dolmens (flat stones in the horizontal position) locally known as Moo Kynthai. Within the perimetre of these Megalithic collection stands the tallest Menhir erected by U Mar Phalyngki a trusted lieutenant of the Jaintia King to commemorate his victory in battle. Other monoliths were erected by U Mar Phalyngki, U Luh Lyngskor Lamare and various clans of Nartiang village between 1500A.D.and l835A.D. A must visit place
