Narimada is is a heavenly abode and a biodiversity heritage site in Thrissur district. Marimada is located in Akathiyoor, Part of Chowannur, near Kunnamkulam. The view from the hill top is enchanting and beautiful. Historian believed that, from the prehistoric methatholic rock found near chowannur shows that, may be the hill was a Temple grove at the times. The grove spread over in 3.5 acres is jammed with 110 critically endangered tree species known as Kulavetti or Vathamkollin in local language and Syzygium travancoricum scientifically which is included in the IUCN Red list. The natural cave in the Narimada dating back to the stone age which is known as Narimada (the abode of Tiger). A temple surrounded by dense shola forest is an added attraction here. Narimada has now become a tourist destination in Kunnamkulam region and a few cinema shooting place as it offers nature in its totality. Famous movie Ponthan Mada shoots here

Very good place for refreshing the souls . It's a natural land or a history land. A cave is spoted in the land it shows the naturality of the historical land. Now the place called narimada is protected by the authorities, it's better chance for native ones and touristors to explore the historical land. Families and friends are choose the place narimada for enjoy their free time . It's the better place for photography .in the rainy season the place is full of green carpet and the summer season is yellow carpet. Because the grass colour is changes by the season.changing grasses and Big trees in the land gives more beuty to the land.its better view spot in Kerala.
