Response to owner: Thank you for your standard meaningless response. If you haven't noticed I had published the invoice from where you could have easily contacted me but you didn't!! My suggestion, stop cheating customers and do business in good faith. Thank you! What was supposed to be an enjoyable shopping experience turned into a highly unpleasant ordeal. Despite my taxi driver's recommendation of My-G, I insisted on going to Nandilath G-mart, completely unaware of the trouble that awaited me. Our original plan was to purchase a washing machine, but we ended up buying a microwave, induction cooker, kettle, and some dishes too in addition to a washing machine . The salesperson informed us that everything was on discount and provided a handwritten slip with a total amount of Rs 76,500. They also mentioned the ongoing summer offers and even threw in a complimentary ceiling fan and door guard as a bonus plus they offered free delivery. Since all these offers were initiated by the salesperson without our request, we agreed to the deal. We made the full payment using a card, and the staff assured us that they would send the bill via WhatsApp and provide a printed copy through a delivery driver. Trusting their words, we left the store believing that the transaction was conducted in good faith. However, upon receiving the bill photo on WhatsApp after returning home, I was shocked to discover that it had been manipulated. The prices of the items had been adjusted to reflect manufacturer offer price ( as listed on manufacturer website ), which were slightly lower than the prices quoted to us by the dealer. While I understand that brick and mortar shops often charge more than their online competitors because of the overheads associated with running a brick and mortar store. But what shocked me was the addition of a charge of Rs 4,000 for the ceiling fan (which was supposed to be free); Rs 2,000 for the door guard (supposed to be free) and Rs 500 for delivery ( also supposed to be free). As someone familiar with invoicing practices, I know that an item's price cannot be listed as zero even if it's part of an offer and being given free of cost. However, they should have accurately displayed the actual price and represented the discount as a negative value to avoid additional taxes. Instead, their scheme involved showing the manufacturer that they sold items below the manufacturer's offer price and then claiming the difference as reimbursement from the manufacturer. For example, the Samsung washer we purchased was being offered by Samsung at a discounted price of Rs 47,000, but the dealer sold it to us for Rs 49,400. However, in the manipulated bill, they entered the price as Rs 46,400, pocketing a significant profit from me while planning to claim reimbursement from the manufacturer with a falsified bill. I have included pictures demonstrating how they manipulated the bill. To summarize, the manager attempted to persuade me with various stories, underestimating my ability to see through their deception. However, I firmly insisted on receiving a proper bill that accurately reflected the rates they initially showed me on the paper slip. Eventually, the manager agreed and provided me with the correct bill. I am uncertain whether this manipulation is endorsed at corporate level or just at this store. Regardless, I strongly advise against shopping at this store. If you do decide to make a purchase there, please ensure that you receive an accurate bill for your purchase. And make your payment only after you get a printed bill. PS: There is no point in informing Samsung about this issue, as manufacturers often show leniency towards their dealers. However, it is crucial to remain vigilant and always insist on obtaining a correct bill to protect yourself from falling victim to scams. Hope my experience helps someone identify these red flags. The worst and most disappointing experience I have ever encountered. The service provided lacks professionalism and fails to prioritize customer needs. After purchasing a product, we are required to wait for up to 3 working days just to connect the product and receive its demo. I strongly advise against visiting the Thrissur Poonkunnam Shop. Once they make the sale and receive payment, it appears that their commitment ends. Any concerns raised afterward are met with the response that their part is already completed, and they will not provide further assistance. According to them, the responsibility for product fittings and operation demos lies solely with the company from which the product was purchased.
