For the price the place is decent. Rooms are very close to each other and so if you are someone who wants to party then you have to constantly make sure other's don't get disturbed. Owner is great and grants also every request, BUT the assistant on duty, to handle our room, was ignorant, arrogant and would say "no" to every request. You can expect cockroaches. The bedding and bathrooms were not clean. Overall, if the helper would've been nice maybe we'd have a better experience.
We got 3 rooms for 6 people in Hotel Namrata Palace Matheran at a very affordable price all inclusive of taxes n charges.. Special Thanks to the GoIbibo App. This Hotel is behind Matheran Station. Hardly 5 minutes walkable distance from the station. The rooms are clean n descent. Gyser is available in selected rooms only. The property owner Kondiba Kadam is very helpful. Food is not available in this hotel but the owner can arrange homemade food at reasonable rates or guests can eat at nearby restaurants close to Matheran Stn.

A very bad experience.
They provided very dirty bedsheets. They dont even have water filter. When asked for drinking water they provided direct tap water.
Bedsheets were so dirty that we had to purchase new ones for entire family.
Forget about food quality. The person dont even remembers what we had ordered!
It was like a nightmare staying here.
We left earlier than planned looking at the dirtyness of the place.

Hotel Namrata Palace is a perfect place to stay in Matheran. It is close to the matheran station The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. The Kondiba Kadam has always been friendly, patient and helpful. That impressed me the most. No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to them with all your concerns. On my next stays, I will definitely check into Hotel Namrta Palace again. The price performance ratio is very good."
