Walk a little ahead of the regular place for Masala Dose in Gandhi Bazaar and you will find Namma SLN, a small Darshini tucked away between two larger restaurants. The Sabakki Dose you find here is really good, with herbs mixed right into the batter. A little less oil can be used while cooking though.
I was utterly amazed when I took the first bite of the pulao at this place. Even the simple idli was pure magic. What's great is that they offer both plain and sabbaki options for both idli and dose, and I highly recommend trying each of them. If you're worried about it being too heavy for breakfast, they even offer a half portion of pulao. This is located just a mere 100 meters from Vidhyarthi Bhavan, but in my opinion, the quality and taste, especially of the pulao, are on par, if not better. What's impressive is that they serve their delicious dishes on biodegradable leaves with a side of chutney, and you get to savor your meal right on the footpath, where there's plenty of space. I absolutely loved this place, and I'm definitely visiting again.
Amazing food, started with sabakki thatte idli, it was literally amazing, the texture, the softness and the chutney was really good. Next went with pudi masala dosa and pulav. Both were really tasty. Must try foods on the menu. It's 10/10 for all the food tried.
It's a very small eatery serving delicious breakfast. I recommend sabakki dose for everyone. They have small menu and the prices are decent. This is a good place for taking parcels or quick breakfasts as the place is tight and no chairs/tables are available
A rarity in today's time where not only the food is exceptional, but the owner charges after you eat and relies on your memory to tell him what you had. The pulav n chutney combination is simply awesome Tasty spicy chutney is wowww great The masala dosa was awesome I generally avoid masala dosas for the outburst of ghee butter or oil in them But the dosa here was really not heavy on the stomach Ghee used in proper proportions and the tasty aallo palya was really good We were late, hence missed the idli vada want to go back to this place again
I don't have words to explain how delicious thier pulao was...!!! I was drooling the minute i saw it on the plate.Very tasty, authentic, toothsome, mouth watering..etc..etc... Tried thier sabbakki dosa too which was equally delicious. Must visit when you are around basavangudi.
