Namak Mandi - North Indian restaurant in New Delhi - New Delhi, India

The best experience I ever had here. Loved the ambience, food, drinks and prompt service. Loved the place soo much They serves papad with chutneys as a complementary snack, which was too good. I had thandai, it was soo tasty Soda shikanji , refreshing and good. They serves yummiest of starters one can have ever. I had a platter, which has , Veg- paneer tikka was soo soft, dahi kebab was delicious and yummy. In Non veg platter- I had the best ever chicken tikka, platters were too good. In the main course, the food is highly recommended by me. I had - mandi dal - too good, thick and yummy. - their special paneer, with some exciting name - it was soo delicious. - nalli nehari- it had great flavors. They have very unique names for their dishes, - butter chicken, highly recommended, it was too good. I had all these with butter naan which was soft and quite big Also, I had their Chicken biryani, which has the best flavours ever, In the dessert - narangi kulfi was soo yummy and one should must try it. Overall i had an amazing experience here. Must visit place

Namak mandi is a fine dine place serving delicious awadhi food. The interiors are done very neat & authentic and the staff is very courteous. We started off with thandai and jaljeera , both were very refreshing. We tried their kebab platter and each single item in it is delicious, charsi tikka and mutton Galouti are a must must try for meat eaters and paneer tikka and tandoori jackfruit is awesome. In the main their chicken bemisal, dal makhani and qasr-e-pukhtaan I.e. paneer curry topped with cheese was very delicious. The food is very rich in taste with perfect blend of spices and receipe. We loved each and everything about the food here . Finally for the desserts we had their jaan e azam which is very similar to shashi tukda but served hot, again it was a delicious preparation. Overall it was a very pleasant experience here.

Namak Mandi is situated in Promenade Mall, and has a fair seating space of around 35-40 pax. We were first served Papad with papaya pickle, mint chutney and chilly gudd chutney. Further, we tried their kebab platter which has mutton seekh kebab, mutton galauti and charsi chicken. The taste was on top, best remains Mutton Galauti. A must try !! Further we tried paneer tikka, kathal tikka and subz galauti. In drinks, we tried thandai and shikanji soda , i personally loved shikanji. Very refreshing flavors. In mains, we tried chicken biryani, dal makhani, gosht nihari and kofta. I think their dal makhani and chicken biryani are just beyond expectations. The Manager Mr. Deepak was courteous enough to ask about the food after every course. Staff is as well quite considerate. We enjoyed our dining experience here.

In depth Review- As the name suggests, this is a North Indian and Awadhi Cuisine Restaurant. They have a live kitchen and a contemporary decor which reflects in their utensils as well which is a mix of porcelain and copper dishes. You are usually served with poppadoms as you take a seat but the staff attending may forget to do so at times (Experienced in the second visit). Moving forward to the starters, we tried the Peshawri Paneer Tikka and Bhunne Khulley Tandoori Aalu in vegetarian however the later is not really recommended. In non veg we tried the Murgh Balai Kebabs which were quite good, however in the Non Veg Platter (Worth 1500), the only thing worth splurging on was the Joojeh Seekh and the Galouti Kebabs. Would not recommend the Charsi Tikka or the Lahori Fish Fry. Now coming to the Main Course, we ordered Kofta Dilkhush (recommended), Paneer Raunaqeen, Qasr-e-pukhtan (Recommended), Mandi ki Daal (Recommended) and Karachi Bohri (Biryani) in Vegetarian, and Murgh ki Kadhai (Recommended) and Murgh Rampur Biryani (Recommended) in Non Vegetarian. You may team up the above recommended dishes with Butter or Garlic Naan. Coming to the drinks we would like to recommend the Green Apple Mojito Pitcher as it serves 4 and is totally worth it. Also tried the Strawberry one but wouldn't recommend. You may find this restaurant a bit over priced if you are not a zomato gold/Gourmet Passport user. It gets an overall rating of 3.5/5. Enjoyed the ambience. Creatively made menu, it's so interesting to go through it! Every single detail is made with love here. Every dish was just perfect. Traditional food but prepared and served in a new way. Enjoyed a lot, will definitely come again!

Ordered- Veg starters- dahi ke kebab, kathal burrah, subz galawati, peshwari paneer tikka Non veg starters- khazane nisha, seekh kebab imtiazi, galawati kebab, charsi tikka Mains- Qasr-e-pukhtaan, kofta dilkhush, mandi ki dal, murgh bay misal, gosht nehari Biryani- dum naknavi, murgh rampur, karachi bohri Drinks-thandai, masala chaach, sweet lassi, soda shikanji Desserts- jaan-e-azam, narangi kulfi, kesar malai phirnee These all dishes had their authentic taste and you can obviously trust me when himmanav says this( PS-do follow @him_manav on instagram) Best among every thing even if I want choose, I won't be able to but still will give you details for almost everything, which you might not be able to guess by the name Khazane nisha- was a stuffed chicken and grilled - juicy, tender, soft and yet one the best starters in non veg. Kathal burrah- a new thing, kathal(jackfruit) was crispy inside and outside both. Seekh kebab imtiazi- mutton seekh kebab- minced mutton mixed with spices and I generally don't like this at many other places but at this only place I really loved it only because spices were not over-powering the taste of mutton. Mutton galawati- galouti kebab which will surely just melt in you mouth as you keep it, I can still feel my mouth watering while writing, so you can imagine how tasty and satisfying it could be. Charsi tikka- chicken tikka with juicy and tangy marination. Qasr-e-pukhtaan-it was paneer delicacy Murgh bay misal- butter chicken in Namak-mandi style Ghosht nehari- this is the best nehari I have ever had. Ghosht was cooked so perfectly it will just give you a tender taste,might melt in your mouth while you enjoy it's so soft, juicy texture, close your eyes while you take a bit, if you got me or they might close themselves. Dum naknavi- ghosht biryani- again same yummy taste of ghost like in nehari. Karachi bohri- veg briyani, murgh rampur-chicken biryani Desserts - jaan-e-azam- it had a mixed taste of shahi tukda and geela ghewar, Best dessert was narangi kulfi. Not to forget, service was also 5/5 , I really appreciate the staff for that. Would love to visit again

Recently i visit namak mandi restaurant located in vasant kunj. It's really amazing and nice place to have authentic Awadhi food. They have huge seating capacity and courteous staff. I tried snacks including paneer tikka, dahi kebab and galouti kebab. I tried dal Makhni, paneer gravy and veg Biryani .. all just amazing. They have huge variation for vegetarians. Authentic food from the era of undivided India. Restaurant serves authentic Dum Pardah Biryanis. The menu offers authentic slow cooked Lucknowi Nehari. Mandi Ki Dal has a creamy & delicious flavour and is cooked over night. I love orange kulfi and phirni in dessert.. awesome experience i had.

In starters we had a kabab platter having paneer tikka, kathal, galoti kabab, and dahi kabab. Best was the dahi kabab , I just love that.
