Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, consisting primarily of a huge lake and ambient marshes, is situated about 64 km to the West of Ahmedabad near Sanand Village, in the Gujarat state of India. Mainly inhabited by migratory birds in winter and spring, it is the largest wetland bird sanctuary in Gujarat, and one of the largest in India. The lake measures 123 km sq, attracts over 210 species of birds in the winter, and harbours a variety of flora and fauna.

Good place to wild life photographers. If you're are solo aur a couple visiter, you have to pay 1600rs for 2 hours of site seeing. (1500 minimum charge of boating and 100rs including tickets and parking). If you're in group, then it will be value for money visit. Don't waste your money for boating if you don't have camera or you're duo or solo.

That's a good place if you want to spend day in nature . you will feel awesome at morning time you can see there migrated birds, small island you can visit there by boat , you can enjoy horse riding, beautiful sunrise and sunset. If you are planning to go there with ,search about which season is good and reach there early morning around 6 am by your personal vehicle or arrange cabe. you can visit there with friends or family, definitely you will feel happy. Last , Don't forget to keep camera with you.

Good place to spend time with birds and nature....local language is totally different....it looks travelled to some other state although just 60 km from Ahmedabad.....parking was almost fulled on Sunday morning.....

Hello, it's 85 Rs. Entry fee, 220 per person for boat and if you want your personal one then pay for 6 that is 1320. Then you will meet the agents, they won't dpare you and according to theit language there are 6 islands, though once you will go you won't say it an island. They will start from 6000 for 6 islanf and all this rates will include 1320 which means he will take 6000-1320= 4680. So i finallized in 3320 i.e. gave him 2000, and had paid 1320 to the government at yhe entrance as an entry fee. Next there's one island where you would get two bajra rotli, three sabji, chaas at Rs. 150. It's good to experience once. And do take water bottles and eatables eith you. Main timing to visit here is 6:00 a.m. and after 10-11 you won't find it fun as sun will be on your head and birds also won't be there. So either come in evening or early morning.

Boating: I also enjoyed boating in Nalsarovar. With the boat floating in the pond, I helped the calm environment and saw the nature from closer. The special food of this place, like dhokla, fafda, and thepla, was a wonderful experience for me.
