All dried up. Some locals said that the water has been removed for construction of a bund around the lake. Full of trash and garbage. And wonder how the civic authorities are planning to fill up the lake as the monsoon is doing a disappearing act.
Nalla cheruvu means black pond in Telugu. It's filled with gutter water and vegetation. However municipality is trying it's best to beautify it, which is a joke. Hope they handle the Garbage & sewage mingling here and allow the nature to do the rest.
One of the large lakes near uppal. Quite polluted. Telangana government is just not bothered to get it cleaned! Once full of water and beautiful, is now filthy and full of hyacinth. Looks like this will dry like Ramanthapur lake so that politicians can sell the land and make money!
Another sewage canal. However, the recent reports reveal row of veggies planted and raised along the route of the canal, and irrigated, of course using the toxic water. Veggies fail lab test. They do contain high levels of heavy metals that could damage human health irreversibly. The Telangana State Pollution Control Board has been turning a blind eye to it.
It is full of garbage. Government is not looking at this Tank Bund. Less water available in this tank Bund. If this improves I would give 5 stars.
Heard that there are plans to convert it into mini tankbund. But as of now, drains flows into it. Lot of mosquitoes.
