A very well maintained and beautiful fort that is a must visit for fort lovers.
Connectivity (if you have to depend on public transport) - less than 1 hour by bus from solapur to naldurg and a little under 3 hours from gulbarga/kalaburagi to naldurg (though frequency is less). Alternate option is to take this route from Gulbarga where you can get buses almost ever 5 minutes: gulbarga -> aland -> omerga -> naldurg and it takes the same time of about 3 hours.
From Naldurg bus stand, the fort is about 1.5km walk or the local autos can get your there for Rs.20.
Coming to the fort, I like the fact that they have a cloak room in case you want to keep your luggage as there is a lot of area to cover within the fort. Give yourself about 4 hours to explore the fort leisurely. If you carry a DSLR, it will cost you an additional Rs.125/- which I thought was a little steep but its worth carrying one as the natural beauty and landscapes are amazing.
Amenities: There are food stalls within the fort and fun activties like horse ride, boat (water scooter, speed boat, motor boat) ride are available. Electric vehicle can be rented for those who cant walk the long distances. Bathrooms are also available.
According to me the main highlight of the fort is the river Bora falling off a cliff at 2 points (called Nar and Madi locally) and being able to climb down set to stairs to a chamber where you can watch water fall from both the falls on either side. Its just an amazing feeling that you have to experience.
Just near this is the Upuli Burg which is the highest watch tower within the fort and though some climbing is required, the view from the top is amazing.
Best time to visit the fort would be after rains as thats when the falls as their best glory. A must visit place for all the fort lovers and kudos to the team that does a very good job at maintaining the place and keep it neat and clean.

Very nice place to visit, but current Covid-19 pandemics Naldurg fort is closed for tourist. But the nuldurg cottage or palace is opened for paid visit.
A lot of packed items are available and almost all soft drinks and shakes .. tea is super awesome and some cleaning can be improved regarding plates and bowls.
