The area is serene and has a beautiful lake. There are kayaks and pedal boats available, they are not very comfortable but manageable. The sunset from the lake looks beautiful. Nearby is a ground with parking. Didn't find any restaurants nearby but saw a few snack stalls. Overall, it's a good place to stop by.

Nakshtra thadakam is famous for its carnival conducted during the month of December. Thousands of stars are hanged around the thadakam and a huge star was kept in the centre of the thadakam during that time. Malayatoor mala kayattam begins from here. It is a nice place for families to spend time in the evening. A small children's park is adjacent to this thadakam. Boating is also available.
