Naimat Khana - Awadhi Restaurant in Lucknow - Lucknow, India

Just like how treasures are usually hidden, this place looks hidden in a busy street near high court guest house. And this is one of the few places which serve fresh Awadhi delicacy! The ambience makes you feel like you are a guest in a big house and you are having home made food! Their boti kebab and mutton qorma are my favourites! Overall nice ambience, great taste and reasonable price.

A quaint little place in Lucknow started by a group of people who wants to preserve the heritage and culture of Lucknow. This place offers you best of Lucknow food from 50 different home chefs or small restaurants. If you are hygiene caution and don't want to visit local market for food then this is the right place. You'll get taste of Lucknow sitting in Naimat khana. Super nice place.

Presently, the restaurant is perhaps, one of the hidden gems serving good Mughlai cuisine in Lucknow. Naimat Khana clearly lives by the standards of a fine-dine at its elegant best - clean, hygienic, good ambience, prompt and "well-cooked-served-hot" food. Be advised to bring some patience and a company since their serving time for most dishes is well-above 20 minutes; however, they do prepare it fresh and also are careful with their oils and salts - a rarity among commerical eateries. Hence, their costs are well above the usual, too. Alhough reaching there could feel tricky and their dining space has limited seating, these are all but small inconveniences to relish the honest delicacies in the heart of the "City of Eternal Courtesy." Definitely, worth visiting more than a few times.

Beautiful place, a bit difficult to find but it's like a heritage villa converted to a restaurant. Food is pretty good too. A nice place for small group dinners

A unique must-visit place where the ambience is as appetising as the Menu. Authentic Awadhi cuisine made and served with a lot of warmth.

Wanted to visit Naimat Khana for such a long time after seeing such amazing reviews. The ambiance was really nice. Had homely vibes. But the food wasn't up to the mark. The khada masala gost was salty, the galawat kebabs were okaish and the seekh kebabs were dry. Food was average I would say.

Yeh service was very slow even if you wanted an extra condiment or order the waiter had to check before confirmation of placing the order which made it annoying But the ambiance and the vibe was something worth soaking in and having a walk down history of how an era was and how we are missing out on it

The Positives: Beautiful ambience. Quaint, charming and warms the cockles of your heart. We had the kebab platter for starters... and it was flawless. Was great to see some of the lesser known varieties make it to the table. The rogani tikia and the homemade parathas were amazing and were surprisingly the highlights for me. The chicken quorma was flavourful though a tad bit too watery than what I am accustomed to. The crockery deserves a special mention too. The not so Positives: The Biryani was a big let down. It lacked seasoning, the rice was undercooked and the mutton was tough. Unfortunately, it marred the whole experience for us. But what was even more disconcerting was that when we apprised the manager/server of the issue, he promptly acknowledged the concerns and walked away with the half-empty bowl.. but then did nothing to remediate the situation. They even had the gumption to charge us the full amount for the Biryani. When questioned, they deducted a measly 5% from the bill. A bit of an apology would had been nice. The Verdict: Go there for the ambience and if you've had your fill of the Dastarkhwans and Nausihjaans. Stay away from the Biryani though. P.S. Some soft music would be nice and add to the experience.
