The gateway of Arunachal Pradesh. Whenever I visit Itanagar as well as Arunachal, maximum time my route is from Guwahati to Naharlagun. It's a small railway station but this is clean and well maintained by the authority. You can get the privilege of associated APST bus service to reach Itanagar and other important places but no frequent bus available always as no frequent train service is there. Moreover, there is shuttle service, reserve cab services are also connected to Itanagar. It is a no-crowd in the railway platform but all facilities are available in the waiting room. Location is nice, some kms away from Naharlagun town. Hope the service will be improved in the upcoming days.
Station is clean and is well maintained. A bit far from Itanagar though (15km approx). APST Bus service is available, connecting to both Naharlagun and Itanagar. But in the morning, bus service isn't available from town to the railway station. The approach road has been renovated. Earlier it was pathetic. There are total 3 platforms in the stations. It isn't much crowded. There aren't much food stalls here, so come prepared with your eatables.
I would like to tell it is one of my favourite place, completely nature oriented. Maintainance of rail way station is really good and they provide proper maintained accommodation. Only problem is road maintenance, if you go out of station no proper transport and roads are in bad condition.
Its a Gateway for the Arunachal Pradesh. Nicely cleaned and maintained railway station. Its the main Rail Hub of Arunachal Pradesh. Platform are very clean. Very Good Waiting Hall for Passengers. The main City is Far away from this place. Taxi fare is quite High .
This is the last railway station of Arunachal Pradesh. Maintained very well by the Railway Authorities. Just situated in the lap of green hills of Itanagar. Small but very neat and clean sorroundings. Less communication facilities available with higher fares of Taxis and Autorikshaws.
One of the cleanest train station in India. Hope the concerned department continue to maintain the cleanliness of the station even in the years to come. The surrounding environment of the station is also so pleasant and fresh. And it's also not so crowded unlike other stations in India.
