Nagarjuna Sagar - Tourist attraction in Vijayapuri North - Nalgonda, India

We were not allowed to enter this bridge with our car. We went by walking. If it's a sunny day, it will be too hot there. Though it was the middle of monsoon, there was still not much water in the river.

Make sure to go after rainy season to get your perfect view with full of water we gone starting of the season so, we didn't get much view, but anyway the road journey was awesome in this route

A good weekend getaway... Great drive from Hyd. Boating was awesome. Must see sunset while returning from Nagarjun Sagar Dam and don't forget to tey out locals selling fresh fish (fried & curry both)

Perfect place for a weekend getaway. One of the most important multipurpose projects constructed after Independence. There are several interesting places to see around Nagarjuna Sagar and lot of things to do. Boating experience, visit to Nagarjunakonda, an island where ancient Buddhist excavations are displayed in a Museum, visit to Buddha vanam, Eleshwaram temple located on an island and Ethipothala water falls are the prominent tourist attractions.

Early morning time will be best for view point. And again if dam gates opening time will be awesome

Good place for a detoxifying trip. You get to visit an island which has a museum of excavated items related to lord Buddha by boat. Phones might not work for to reception. Carry your own food as there are only chips available on the boat and nothing in the island

Excellent view super weather

Good place, but you are not allowed to walk on the dam, no DSLR allowed, car parking 30/-. If you are planning to go, just go watch ethipothala water falls, and while returning stay at Telangana Haritha resorts(room price 1800/-) at Nagarjuna sagar, you can experience a good view of the dam from the balcony and if you have kids they will enjoy this place with park and monkey sightings. Watch out for scorpions at night. Beautiful place around hyderabad.
