Nabagiri Girls' Hostel - Hostel in Guwahati - Kamrup Metro, India

My sister lived here. Good food and safe. The owner does not have any other job so he is very dedicated towards the wellbeing of his boarders. He seems to be a good man but sometimes he imposes his authority to act like a father figure and enforce unreasonable ridiculous rules. Some rules as I am being told restricts the girls to even participate in social events. This approach although appreciated by the conservative guardians was not aggreable to us so we bailed out. In one phrase, this hostel is good for the ones with conservative idelogies.

It was a pleasant experience to be a border of the hostel. Highly recommended.

Been here for 4 months, and realised this is the best hostel in the locality. The food is great, the hostel is secured, and the people are genuinely caring. Best thing about this place is that the owner resolves all your issues very quickly. Unlike other hostels where they take 3 to 4 days to repair a fan or replace a light bulb.(my experience).

This hostel feels like home The place, rooms, dining hall and the campus, it's so peace here. Good security with 24*7 water supply and electricity. The food is the best thing here.

My daughter stayed here for 8 years starting from HS 1st yr, completed her MA & finally got a job. The owner Mr Indrajit Baruah addressed as DADA by both boarders & parents needs no introduction. I will remain indebted to him for his care & sincerity. He is a person who knows when to be caring & when to be strict. I never had to worry about medical care as well. The hostel is well known for its good food. Never did I hear any shortage of water. Thanks once again Mr Baruah.

I stayed here for a year. It was an amazing experience. I felt so safe over here always even though I was away from my family. Dada has always taken care of our well being and scolded also as and when required. Whenever any boarder fell sick, it may be 1 or 2 AM at night, Dada never hesitated to take us to the doctor without wasting a minute. He always listened to us patiently. I personally always felt that I stayed at my elder brother's house. We celebrated Diwali, New Year with huge enthusiasm. Thanks to Dada and all my dear hostelmates with whom I spent many precious months of my life.

Nabagiri Girls Hostel is an emotion in itself.As a student what we need is an ambience so that we can concentrate on our studies.If you are a studious-student and highly focused on academics and Civils,Nabagiri is for you. Next,the food provided is exceptional..feels like home tbh. Please note that if you love evening outings and parties,I recommend you to search for some other hostels.. the entry time, however, is very very strict without relaxation. I didn't have any hostel experience before Nabagiri but I am sure it's one of the best pg in Guwahati. Food is so good, Baidew always makes tasty meal for us. Very well disciplined rules and nice atmosphere for study. And most importantly Dada (warden) is very kind and helpful person. Dada always care for the boarders and because of Dada, boarders feel safe and secure.
