Entry fee is Rs 50, it includes a single rail trip around the museum in a small train. Also kids play area is there. There is a cafe inside rail boogie, it gives a unique dine-in experience. Overall this would be a perfect go to place for your family and friends.

I heard about this place when I was in Mysore one of my friends suggested this place to me. If you have a toddler, this is one of the best places they will enjoy a lot. The ticket price is 50 rupees. We went during a weekday so there was no rush at all. Once you enter the premises, you will get to see a lot of historical artefacts. There are sign boards near each train for more information. You will be able to climb a few of them to click good pictures. There is a complementary train ride for the 50 rupee ticket so make sure you keep your ticket safe. 2 rounds of train ride to show the premises. They also have a good cafe if you would like to get some refreshments. There is 1 souvenir shop near the exit in case you wish to purchase something to take back. You can spend 30-60 minutes at this location. Highly recommended for parents with toddlers.
Probably the cleanest destination in the city. So well maintained. Lot of info on trains, cool displays, toy train ride, cafe. Spacious and green space. The huge trees and their canopy made it seem cool even in the hot sunny afternoon.
It is quiet a refreshing place.. We loved this place. Calm and beautiful place.. Children can play there. There is also a toy train... We all can take atrip on that.. That is also included in the entry fee.. We get lot of information about Indian Railway old equipments and technologies.. Small description notes are included with every things.. I visited this place on a Saturday morning and there was no wait to enter the place. 1 toy train ride is included in the ticket price. 1. Parking - they have a parking space near to this museum 2. Entry - Rs.50/adult and Rs.20/ child. Only cash is accepted (Oct 2023) 3. Recommended Time - If you like to see through all the trains in detail, 1.5 to 2 hrs would be good enough. 4. What to see - History of rail transportation in India and World, old model train engines, ride in a toy train, watch tower(nothing much to see here) 5. Place has many models of trains and other vehicles set on railway tracks. A ride on the toy train is included with the ticket. Great place for photography. Although the ticket for the camera is Rs500, clicking on phones is permitted. Museum is really well maintained. There is a in-house cafe setup inside of a railway coach, but food and coffee were bad. Paid car parking.
