Mystic Woods by The Butterfly Conservatory Of Goa - Tourist attraction in Priol - South Goa, India

Beautiful place. Great staff who explained to us the process for the butterflies and the owners' story on how they made the place possible. We went in the monsoons, which is not butterfly season, so we didn't see many, but the garden and the location itself were worth the visit. They have a pond type waterfall where you can sit, and the fish come and nibble at your feet and a great collection of rocks and genuine fossils that the owners have collected. Nice place overall.

Lovely little butterfly conservatory with a private collection of rare stones and crystals. Their roof garden is astounding! A must visit for nature lovers. Best time to see butterflies is sep to dec.

We had visited this place last week. It was a great experience. They have maintained it so well with so many souls co existing in one place. The 2 hours spend was heaven on earth . The roof garden is so beautifully. It was great idea and I don't think I have anything like this before. The host is so soft spoken and I can see the passion to embrace nature in her house and the butterfly park. We did see some rare butterflies and also the guy explained everything so well. He was very honest about spotting butterflies. The fish spa was really relaxing amongst the nature trail. There were various collection of stones and we enjoyed it thoroughly. For the value of time, effort and passion which Dr Jyoti and her husband Mr Rohit are investing, the amount they are charging is very less. It is a great place to be in and I would recommend this place for nature lovers. If I happen to go to Goa I will definitely visit this place again.

We recently visited the place around 12 noon and had a great experience there. Its a must visit for nature enthusiasts. The owner gave us a tour himself and clearly he is very passionate about butterflies, rocks, plants etc as the place is not easy to maintain. Anyone who rates this place poorly clearly doesn't appreciate the finer things in life. The tour lasted for about one hour and we saw so many different species of butterflies, rocks and fossils and they also have a very relaxing spot for fish spa. Truly a refreshing experience, very happy that we went there, and I will probably do it again the next time we're in Goa.

It's not a proper tourist place, but a private residence of a nature lover who invites people to marvel its wonder. Very meticulously developed small "ecosystem" that has everything from fig trees to orchids to waterfalls with scorpions to medicinal plants to fishes and lot more. A delightful trip for nature lovers. Do not except any "guide". The helper Vijay is very knowledgeable but will only tell the names. Ask more to know more.

This place has been on my wife's bucket list of things to do with the kids for a long time. It was worth the one hour drive. The entire experience was educational and enriching for all of us from the youngest to the oldest. Mr. Yashodhan, the owner and our host for the guided tour is very passionate about this project and has a wealth of information about butterflies, the flora at this location and even fossils and rocks as he has a collection of these and takes us through them while he shares knowledge of their origin and history. The tour involved a small walk up a hill where one can spot exotic butterflies and even spiders. Some time is also allocated to dip ones feet in the fish spa built in the midst of the greenery there. Definitely time well spent and a strong recommendation to visit. Note: If you are following Google Maps to get there, park before the narrow slope going up and walk straight. Signage was a bit of an issue for us as we visited in the monsoons and the overgrown trees had covered the signage. Hope this helps!

Nice place to visit. The Owner and caretaker are very friendly and give you a nice tour of the place. Although we did not see many butterflies, we saw various birds, insects etc. The roof top garden above the Owner's home is also a must visit.

A very nice serene natural very green garden with exotic plants and some butterflies. Also has a mini museum of minerals and early life forms. Tour includes a small walk on a green terrace garden, atop a house. Educational for all ages.
