I was looking for an authentic experience of yoga, so I went to India. I spent 9 months learning yoga at "Academy of Mysore" as a student of Ramesh Kumar, between 2016 and 2018. I came to find the best place to learn the practice of yoga and I found an entire philosophy to feed my way of life. I am very grateful for this amazing experience ! I went to 2 drop in classes. Unfortunately I could not do more, because I was only 2 days in Mysore. Ramesh gave me more insight into my body and tailored advice how to use the healing power of yoga in my case in 2 lessons than all other yoga classes I've ever followed together. Absolutely recommend to go here and experience his incredible knowledge for yourself. Hope to come back sometime to take more lessons.
Guru Ramesh was so knowledgeable and wise. He pushed me and made me realize I am much more flexible than I thought I was. He even gave me advice on how to deal with my cold which was very sweet. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Mysore!

My friend Hannah and I were visiting Mysore and as yoga teachers in training, we were looking to discover a new practice. Thankfully, we came across Guru Ramesh Kumar and his son, Tharun R Kumar. These lovely people welcomed us into their studio (their new one, which looks like it will be a beautiful place to practice once complete) and gave us a private 1h30 session. Tharun was an exceptional instructor, and Guru Ramesh is truly so knowledgeable, kind, and informative. We hope to return to Mysore in the future to practice with them over a longer period of time, and we thank them immensely for the experience. Namaste
Since 2008 I get educated by the Mysore Academy of Yoga . Sri Yogacharya Ramesh Kumar is a very good empathic teacher , very well educated and helpful. The teachings are well structured. He is flexible in his lessons, how it fits for you perfectly. I am very grateful to have him as a teacher
