Very nice hotel they prepare food without onion and garlic. Very good in tastes.
After a gap 10 years I have visited this place. We have ordered meals with side dish and soodhi. Soodhi is my favorite dish in Muthu mess. Try to maintain the same taste. This time it is less crowded. Homely food with no spice and less masala. Enjoyed the food.
Taste and quality wise good but price and quantity wise bad for side dish. We have tried Gobi fry for that we need to pay 25 rupees but quantity is very less, same to other side dishes but meals will cost 100 rupees which includes two sde dish, unlimited rice, rasam, sambar, vatha kulambu and butter milk, specially for their pure vegetarian we can try for one time Cons: price of the side dish, parking Pros: taste and history
The food was so good. It's mostly like a home cooked food. Particularly we loved the dosa varieties. They are having this dosa varieties which is made of millets.that was so good. Totally recommend their food. And the sweets made out of palm sugar was also a hit..try them too
A small simple vegetarian mess that serves good quality food that tastes great! We visited during lunch and took the INR 120 South Indian lunch option We were served 1 spinach kootu, an avial, and beans poriyal as sides. There was sambar, rasam, vathal kuzhambhu, and buttermilk along with paapad and pickle They also serve milk halwa, a sweet variety that is native to Tirunelveli at INR 30, so don't forget to try it! It tastes awesome! The food was unlimited and the service was top notch - we didn't need to wait even a second for the servings. It's an extremely small space that can accommodate between 8-12 ppl at a time, so during busy periods be ready to wait. Muthu Mess is closed on Sundays The location is a small lane beneath a flyover, so it's advisable if possible, to park elsewhere & walk or engage an auto to reach Muthu Mess Overall, Muthu Mess is an iconic part of Tirunelveli's rich food culture! A place that is not to be missed if you're in the locality!
