Muskan cottage - Hotel in Matheran - Raigad, India

Overall, what they had promised about rooms whole scenario was different, but service was quick fast, we had rented for 1 day which they had provided 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinner, package for 1 person was 1100 included food. It's nearby market.

Hotel staff are pathetic.. they should give what is promised.. must not be booked... You wan to celebrate ur vacation then this is not the place .. you will return with headaches if you book here ... They dnt deserve a single star in review.. but need to put this

Beware if you are booking this cottage from MakeMyTrip. He will call you book it offline to avoid commission and ask to cancel from MakeMyTrip, he will cancel it last moment once he gets hi ohgher paying customer.

Go for it very nice service I recommend service staff and all are good very good nature helpful room and washroom clean also thank you for making us feeling comfortable next time surely will come in Muskan cottage

We went on Friends Trip to Matheran and stayed here for 2 days. We paid half money in Advance. As soon as we reached there the caretaker started asking remaining money. Inspite we telling them we will pay at checkout they were coming to ask money every 2 hours. It was really pathetic. Also when we booked they told we will whatever we can ask for in food but they denied any thing which we order and we had to stick with their menu which was Oily and Spicy. Muskan cottage is a trap to make fool. The agents catch at Neral station and show you great photos but actually very dirty and different rooms. The spots on bed sheets. The bed are very old and uncomfortable and broken. The staff is rude and insulting. The rooms are chawl and very old. No hot water, no soap, no towel. If you take food inclusive it's another trap, better go to market where you have variety of food options.

The rooms provided are of very bad quality. They usually catch you at Neral railway station and show you photos of a good hotel room. But the rooms provided are entirely different. The rooms are not cleaned and the AC does not work properly. The staff is also not helpful. You can hear through the rooms and you will not be able to sleep properly as you can always hear the people talk outside.

5 star for this hotel but NO star for the below mentioned hotel and company. PLEASE READ - CAUTION...DANGER..BEWARE.. There's a holiday package selling company in Matheran, called Royal Club International ( RCI ) which is a BIG fraud company. They cheated many people by making them pay from Rs.10,000 to 3 lacs. Their salesman stand outside hotels to offer free SCRATCH CARDS to win attractive lucky draws. Once you open these fake scratch cards he will tell that you won a sure lucky prize but to scratch the card and get the prize you have to attend 60 min sales presentation in a hotel. Once you goto attend they brainwash you with many lies & attractive offers to purchase their holiday package membership. Once you swipe your credit/debit card & move out of that place, they will not answer your phone calls,messages or emails. If they talk to you on phone they will be very rude & threaten you. MATHERAN should not give space to such fraudulent business otherwise people will stop visiting there. Presently this fraud company is in Adamo Resort.
