The fountain in Kolkata is one among the only two 3-tier cascading fountains in the country. The other is located at Vrindaban Gardens, Mysore. The Fountain of Joy is the largest and widest dancing fountain in the country. Situated opposite Victorial Memorial at the Maidan this Fountain with multi colour light display is a treat to enjoy in the evening and was gifted to the city by the CESC... It was reopened on 24th December 2018 in a new look... Now one can view musical fountain with light show... The gate opens around 5 in the evening...maybe it would change during summer season... However the fence outside this attraction is a free for all pee zone......especially by the vendors outside and some of the visitors...
