Museum of Social History and Rural Life of Punjab - Heritage museum in Ludhiana - Ludhiana, India

Museum of Social History and Rural Punjab - Located in the Punjab Agricultural University Campus, the place depicts the rural lifestyle of Punjabis from the Harappan age housed in a beautiful building depicting traditional houses of rural Punjab. The museum exhibits local art and craft and also various agricultural equipment and tools. A very nice place of tourist interest in Ludhiana. Entry Ticket: Rs. 30.00 per head.

Museum of Social History of Punjab PAU houses unique Museum of Social History of Punjab, which mirrors university's involvement with state's folklore and culture as much as it reflects the village life. The museum; displays old agricultural implements and tools, junkets used to decorate draught animals; is a repository of cultural ethos and traditions, shows off kitchenware, Persian well, free-time vocations that engage the women; depicts typical 'real-life'situations in rural Punjab and what have you.

Must visit place if you go to Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana. Take your family with you to this beautiful museum. They have a lot of architects from the past to show history of Punjabi culture. I was impressed with the numerous items they have been able to collect and showcase there. The price to enter is super cheap (which I think should be increased so they can use that money to make it even better)

This museum is located inside the Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana compound. It has a wide range of kitchen utensils, pulkari, earthen pots, agricultural equipments, photographs etc. used before 1962. Our young people especially children must see this museum to know how our glorious past was.

It's a beauty for its adorable landscape. People visit there a lot for recreation, school visits, etc. Historical tools and implements used in rural life are available for showcase inside the museum. Wells, Water Mill, Cart, Large Iron Pot, etc. can be seen outside while spending a good time at the beautiful garden.

Efforts r made to save Punjabi Traditions and culture for our next generation. Exhibit of traditional and historical articles and village culture. Though photography is strictly prohibited but......!!! Sorry

Loved it it was an awesome experience to visit there and too much things like vermicompost puppets, statues, Cafe,full meal, a canteen and much more Vist there and enjoy
