Worth one visit, some really interesting exhibits and paintings. Quirky, rich and different formats. You can easily spend 1-2hrs and excellent to sit post it in the restaurant and try some simple food. Prompt and efficient service. Rs. 200 entry and no major parking area but being in an industrial area you can easily find parking.

Very nice museum with works of renowned artists from Goa, there are multiple physical installations and paintings. It is not very crowded, has a nice cafe inside, if you are looking for something other than clubbing or partying then do visit, if you are an art lover then it's worth it. Thankyou for opening this museum representing the Art community in Goa, loved it.

Very well advertised place in goa, u see the banner of this place throughout the goa. Place is situated slightly on the uphill but not difficult to reach. It is some 6 kms from calungute. At the start, I felt 300 entry tickets were costly, but for 3 floors wide spread different artefacts, it's really worth it. U need time to cover the museum effectively. We went on weekdays, so the crowd was less in weekend I heard it would be on the higher side.

Art work is nice. But tickets are very expensive, because there are no Air Conditioners, no proper fans. Also they just want to earn money, This is not government property. There is a donation box in reception and it is mentioned that " we are an individual organisation and we need money to show more artwork", after paying 300 rs for a ticket still they want more money from visitors.

Visited the Museum of Goa in October 2023 and it has a lot of abstract art on display. The entry fee for an Indian adult is Rs 300 per head. It's free entry for students and those below the age of 18. I felt the entry ticket was on the expensive side, but since this is a privately run Museum, the charge made sense. The building is excellently maintained and artworks are spread over three floors, with a lift access too. There's also a small air-conditioned theater where they play a 15 minute documentary about the founder. The reason I am rating it 3 on 5 stars is because almost 80% of the art on display was by the founder of the place Subodh Kerkar. Even the 15 minute documentary was just Subodh Kerkar going on and on about his art. There's no doubt that some of Mr Kerkar's art projects are quite interesting and give a unique perspective to Goan life. For example, there's a small display of decorated chillies in the third floor, which symbolise how Portuguese traders introduced chili peppers to India via Goa. I would've however loved to see more art by other artists too and couldn't help but feel that Museum of Goa was a vanity project by the founder. There's enough space in the museum for more diverse works to be displayed. Regardless, it's worth a one time visit if you are in the area and are an art enthusiast. There's also a very pretty garden on the outside with a cafe. In-fact, the food & drinks were surprisingly reasonably priced. They had cold coffee for Rs 100 and masala tea for Rs 30 & regular coffee for Rs 50.

A unique and novel place depicting the history of Goa along with contemporary art. Very informative and educative for all ages.Aesthetically designed and well curated with finesse and eye for details. Worth the value for money.

It's good if u want to get creative at children art studio. There are some photogenic sculptures and arts. I don't have much interest in history so it was ok ok for me. Ticket fees is 300 per person, cafe is there.

The Industrial Estate in Pilerne is the last place you'd look for good food, lush jungle views and art. Yet, Mog Art Cafe at the Museum of Goa has it all! Mog Art Cafe is a simple, open-air cafe that does some surprisingly good food at pocket friendly rates. I'm talking hot and crispy dosas and ghavane with a seriously yummy coconut chutney; lots of filling sandwiches, ros omlettes, vada paos and kheema paos, poha and more. Pair that with chai, coffee, lassi, fresh juices, milkshakes, kokum soda and jaljeera. Prices range between Rs 100-200 and it is well worth it! Being located at a museum, the creativity seeps through to some of the dishes as well. So if you like experimenting, try the Panki which is a spiced rice flour batter steamed in a banana leaf. The Onion Ajwain Crepe, shaped like an egg and served with pickle oil is interesting. I'd recommend Ghavane, and if you haven't tried Ghavane before, you'll be hooked once you try it here. What's also nice about it is it's extremely relaxed, no-frills ambience that gives you the "come-as-you-are" feels. Follow @thatgoangirl for more great cafes in Goa

Our whole family went to this place during holi and we just completely loved the hospitality they showered us with. Had the opportunity to taste some experimental dishes that they were planning just for the holi season and they were equally good alon
