Sun deck of hotel Muscatel Himalayan resort is good. Rooms are neat and clean with cooperative staffs. Outside views are good. Walkable distance from mall road.

Rooms are good, service is also good..polite helpful staff. Location is also near mall. But, not suggested for aged people. In order to reach the hotel anyone need to climb to high slope.

Had a very good stay and experience at Muscatel Himalayan resort, Darjeeling. All the employees are very professional and well served. The Manager, Ms. Bindu ensured the proper feedback from all customers and very thankful. Felt like at home and easy access to all the nearby areas. Highly suggest to stay with family to have quality time with reasonable price.

Horrible experience from this resort till my all travel experiences . You should not book it by it's rating . I am sharing my experience in details 1)All the stuffs are not good and some staffs literally don't know how to behave with a guest. 2) I stayed in a delux room at first they gave me room no 101 that was really bogus geyser was not working properly , shower was also damaged working poorly , toilet tap was also damaged after a request they changed the room and shifted to 102. 3) Food delivery was also horrible someday they say food is not available as delivery boy is not available then on the next they delivered breakfast 45 min after ordering a simple omlette and butter toast 4)The location of the resort is very bad no view available except the roof and you have to climb almost 200 Mt uphill to reach there . As a whole they don't deserve the rating and the fare what they demand.

It's a nice place to stay. The sundeck is nice. Only thing I'd like to mention is the fact that the way to the hotel is a 100mts steep walk. That is if you wish to walk up and down from mall. Incase you are travelling with senior people, this is a point to keep in mind. The path is motorable too.

Stayed there for three days. Very misguided description on mentioning 400 m from Mall road, but to be honest it's is such inclined place and in very high, that no cab even ready to go in front to hotel. So you need to carry you all lagage to up where for normal people its difficult to climb up. Room is made of wood where even if anyone walking two floors up, you feel like hammering on your room. It will disturb your sleep.

We had a three night stay in this hotel. Rooms are neat and clean. Staffs are very cooperative. Though their rooms are non view rooms due to nearby construction they have a great view from the sundeck which is at the second floor of the hotel. Our bad luck that we did not get any view due to cloudy weather in the month of June. This hotel is not recommended at all for people with knee problems as the road towards the hotel is too steep. The best part is they always mention this issue before booking.

No automatic power backup, check in time was 4.15 pm instead of at 2.00pm. No lift, we were on the second floor, no banquet kitchen, there was a central kitchen. Food served was not on time and was cold. We felt we were being issued food as there was no choice. We couldn't get second helpings or anything apart from egg,a banana, a poly pack of juice, plain omlette of one egg and soggy sandwitch.
