During my recent visit to Madurai, I explored this place and tried their renowned dishes. The restaurant maintained a tidy environment, and the service was commendable. I tasted podi idli, adai dosa, and paneer dosa. Honestly, I found them good but nothing extraordinary. I also tasted some sweets and halwa, which were truly delightful. However, I must mention that the overall cost seemed a bit on the higher side.

Good one near the temple. Don't expect the same like Chennai on service and food taste. It's little less than usual. 1st floor dining experience was good. Serving can be better, they took the order for Vada and at the last before the bill they said we didn't put Vada today.
Ghee onion uthappam was very average and podi idli is good one to try.

They serve 4-5 different chutneys along with Sambar and karam podi with Idli and Dosas.

Excellent place to gorge on South Indian breakfast items at any time of the day! This place has great service, extremely friendly and helpful. The idlis are ultrasoft and really worth the hype. Podi idli is a must have. While the restaurant has a large variety of dosais, the outstanding one by far is the Onion Uthappam. It has a bed of minced small (or sambar) onion, crunchy and tasty! Their podis (idli podi, dosa podi, etc) are available for purchase too, so you can carry some of the magic home! Lovely experience overall.
Went to this restaurant two types on our trip. One for evening coffee which was great. Another for breakfast after darshan, which was ok. Ordered idlies and ghee podi idlies which were good. Ordered Adai dosa, which was not that great - please avoid. Good thing about this restaurant is it's just a km from south nada of Meenakshi Amman temple. People can plan for breakfast or dinner over here after the temple darshan. And Periyar bus stand is also a 5 minute walk from the restaurant.
