Mundrothuruth Panchayat Shopping Complex - Business center in Munroe Island - Kollam, India

The highlight of this visit was the island itself and we just passed by the small shopping center. A visit to Munroe island has to be a 'must do' thing in every nature lover's itinerary. The thrill and curiosity kick-start right from the ferry crossing from the mainland. Our can took us through some scenic route to a point where we engaged a canoe for the backwaters exploration. That was indeed an exhilarating trip down some of the narrowest water ways till the wide open placid waters of the lake. Panoramic views of the island were mesmerizing everyone in the family. The kids had a wild fun ride playing in the water. A trip to remember for s long time, in deed.

A great relaxing place to visit n spend time with family. Different options of boat rides which can take anywhere between 1 to 3 hrs. Many resorts n homestay available. Carry cash n hat, water n umbrella if you are planning for a vanjhi ride. Motor boat (covered)has a different route of journey n experience. The lazy vanjhi (cheaper) ride take you through the local inlets. There are couple of restaurant around.

We stopped at the panchayat shopping complex enroute to munnar. The place is very well kept with restaurant, cafeteria and restrooms. The restaurant has great food options and the restroom was very clean too. It's a commendable effort to benifit commuters and residents.
