Mundira Backpackers' Camp - Hotel in Mundira - Birbhum, India

Ambience - 9/10 Staff behaviour- 9/10 Infrastructure - 8/10 Overall experience and value for money- 10/10. A great experience amidst nature. Lala da is a brilliant host and takes care of guests very well. The cook Gour is a brilliant cook , cooks tasty food. This place is not being run by corporate people hence don't expect glittering services. But the warmth and caring attitude of the people at helm is enough for the guests. If you are looking for an off beat stay amidst nature, this is the place.

The experience was extraordinary. Camp is just beside ajay river...Cool breeze was blowing. Lucky to get a cloudy and windy day for our camping. 'Moner manush' was just nearby from where people came to sing 'boul sangeet'... Had a special evening with my companion, group and camper team. Loved it. There are few places to visit at JOYDEB... A one time must.

Well, rather saying in detail, let me jot down the points begind the rating :- WHEN DID WE GO :- In February HOW DID WE GO :- By Bike HOW MUCH TIME DID WE SPEND :- 1 Night PROS :- 1. If you are frustated wasting your life within the concrete jungle and want to stay in a camp, this place has the option. 2. It is just beside the river and u can literally get down and walk on the river. 3. Singer sings really well. CONS :- 1. This place is just beside one of the heavens of sand mafias, so expect trucks round the clock. 2. The place is still under construction. It's like, "Let's start the business with only the camp, roads, walls will be formed afterwards." 3. Other than the camps, there is JUST NOTHING. 4. Food quality is almost pathetic. We were not expecting a five star food, but at least enough clean(not mixed with sand) food for 10 people. 5. THE LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANT, management is very much unprofessional. They had to accomodate 10 persons and the extra tent for 10th person was set up exactly at 9pm. RECOMMENDATION:- DON'T GO THERE TO DISAPPOINT YOUR WEEKEND STAY.

Honest Review...please read once before planning.Very worst experiance. Location is adjuscent to a bali khadan. Truck are roamning through out the day and even in whole night. No one can sleep. The entire ambiance will go to hell for this. Baul artists are getting distrubed during their performance, staffs are disapointed, road condition are pathetic(You will not even think to step oitside without vehicle). Moreover there is no proper response from management. Will not recomend anyone. One star only for the great onground support staffs otherewise the overall its zero.

Really an appreciable idea with attractive setup! The show stopper is the 'Baul gaan ashore' they arrange. Besides they promote a lot of other activities like trekking, fishing, river bath etc. Can definitely improve a lot in terms of some very basic services. I firmly believe the plan will surely get better if invested more time, effort and attention. Overall a nice experience.

This is clear infringement and illegal.Using Aruni Spiritual Ashram's google location and not bothered to rectify. Misguiding peple who are being shown pictures and videos of Aruni.There might be legal consequences at any point of time if they do not withdraw/remove/rectify.

Mundira Backpacjers camp is located just 1.5 kilometre from famous Joydev Kenduli fair. It is a very calm and quite place beside river Ajay. Presently there is only tent accommodation here. The famous Gar Jongol is situated just on the opposite bank of river Ajay. Main attraction of this camp is eveng Baul song Concert.

The pictures aren't real. They are of another place called Arun spiritual ashram. The place is full of insects and the food is pathetic. Not worth the price they're asking for
