Mundargi Fort - Historical landmark in Mundargi - Gadag, India

We visited the fort on a Saturday evening. There was enough crowd at the spot. The road leading to the fort is very tricky and believe me, don't trust the route suggested by Google maps. It will not lead you to the foothills. I would suggest you to check with locals near the bus stop for reaching this place. It's an easy climb of 8-10 mins. Beautiful place to watch sunset. Most of the hill is quarried and the majority of the fort is damaged because of that. Only a part of it remains. There are no restrooms here. Parking is free. There's a 400 year old temple at the foothill. And yes, you can visit this place for free.
