Amazing view from the top of the viewing tower. Check out my pics. The view is just as beautiful from the ground, even if one doesn't climb the tower. Misty mountains penetrating the clouds. The local people told me it isn't that hot even in summer and there is always a breeze. The route to the view point is very scenic. There is a small children's play park beside the tower. Entry fee to the tower is Rs10 for adults. You can visit it even at 6 am. If the person Manning the tower isn't available there, you can always talk to the local people and they give you his number to contact. Helpful folks. Must visit place. Great vibes.
This is a less known but scenic view point near Vazhithala, Thodupuzha Taluk in Idukki district, Kerala. The hilly regions of this part of Idukki district start from the hills surrounding Mundanmala. The elevation of the hill is not very high but enough to enjoy some cool breeze in mornings or evenings. I went there on a rainy and misty evening with my scooty and the vibe was nice. The viewpoint faces to the north eastern direction and from the viewpoint you won't probably notice any settlements. You can reach the viewpoint from two ways. Those who are coming from Vazhithala side can take left from Vazhithala Palam Junction. This route is shorter but much more steep than the other route and the road is in poor condition. Those who are coming from Thodupuzha side can take the second right after Nediyasala junction. This road is less steep and better tarred. This is the better route of the two if you are coming by a normal car. It is also more scenic with trees on both sides of the road. There is also a small childrens' park and a concrete tower from where you can get a bit higher view.
Nice place children's park watchtower
Nice place. Must visit if you are anywhere close to Vazhithala. Authorities had done a great job to build the watch tower in this remote place. Now its upto each of us to keep it neat and clean. Best time to visit is early morning, but evenings are not at bad either. 10 Rs entry fee for adults and 5 Rs for the children.
Nice view of surrounding towns and agricultural land. The watch tower is restricted with Rs10 pass. Telescope installed at the top level. Three floor height watch tower. Not a popular picnic spot though. One side road from vazhithala area is very steep. Overall not very attractive location.
This is a good place to watch sunsets and sunrises. But don't expect too much. The best timing is morning 6.00 to 7.00. In winter you can see fog. There is no proper place for parking. There is a watch tower, which is open to the public for a small fee.
It's nothing more than a hilltop in a village. The access road is very narrow. Once you reach there, all you have is a viewpoint. And of course the view of a mesmerizing lush green rural landscape. No eatery anywhere nearby. Carry your food and water. The place is being developed as a tourist spot. A children's park is in the offing.
It's very nice and small hill area. Most of the peoples in this area are normal villagers. It's a beautiful village and developing the place as tourist area.
