The view and the nature gesture is really awesome you will lust there for a while. I suggest if you want to see the beauty of nature and feel the blossom touch of nature. ** please please do visit as earliest morning because after 9 AM the place is crowd and on weekends it's horrible I had stayed in near giri water fall there is a home stay giri elite. I have visited on weekdays so I have drove my bike till the mullyangiri pick point parking spot. But you going on weekends you have to park your vehicle far away from view point walk. So to avoid this things I choose weekdays to travell. I have reached at mullayyana giri pick early morning 6:30 am. Believe me the veiw was awesome. I am posting some picture of that. Things to remember : If you forgot carry drinking water and food no need to panic. Because at parking place you will find few maggie Dosa shops. Also drinking water you can purchase. And make sure use winter wear because the place is little bit cold due to high altitude (7500 feet from sea level) If taking infants or kids if have to be cautious because the place very high and little bit slippery . Have a happy journey
If you are looking for complete details about Mullayyanagiri Peak, read this review completely. Location? - In case you are looking for a way to Mullayyanagiri Peak in Google maps, search for Mullayyanagiri Peak Car Parking. - This is Karnataka's highest peak with the the altitude of 6300ft. - Close to 450 footsteps (hardly 30mins walk) from base point. - Mullayyanagiri is around 15 km from the Chikmagalur checkpost. - This is a beautiful venue to see Sunrise Sunset. The view is simply astonishing. About Parking? - I feel sad to say about the poor maintenance at this place, particularly road management. - Limited car parking space is available near footsteps (hardly 30 to 40 vehicles) - However you can park vehicle road side-by at your own risk, as the road is too narrow hardly 2 vehicles can pass. - Heavy vehicles are only allowed till Seethalayana Hill point which is 2.4km before Mullayyanagiri Peak. - Avoid going during weekends, only because of huge traffic. Best time to visit? - Vehicle entries will be allowed after 5:30 or 6:00 AM depending on the crowd. - This gate is 15 km away from the main peak. - Traffic will be minimal till 6:30 to 7:00 AM during weekends. - We started at 5:45 and reached peak around 6:15 AM. We only came back to the entrance checkpost at 9:00 AM due to heavy traffic. Don't miss having masala Maggie and soft Idli at the base point. It's worth it. Checkout some glimpses attached. Do not throw unwanted wastes, take extra step and educate fellow tourists to keep nature clean. Hit Useful if this review is helpful
The view!!! It's just breathtaking. You need to reach this place early morning to witness the rising sun, minimal crowd and fresh air. Once you reach the spot, please beware of parking, as all vehicles are parked along the narrow road, so it's very likely to get blocked on your way back, we faced this trouble, and once a jam develops in this stretch, it can take hours to clear the traffic. The view point is atop a hill with lots and lots and lots of steps to climb (elderly may find it difficult). But once you reach the top, the view is breathtaking. Fresh Breeze blowing on your face, and then you feel that the climb uphill was really worth it.
Avoid this place on weekends. The Karnataka is the most mis-managed state. You Won't find any civic body for this parking. There is utter chaos and messy traffic. I have never seen a tourist place like this, where a tourist spot at this high altitude is left at tourists whim. Any day an accident will happen and then this worthless administration will wake up. And also the view it provides: not something extraordinary.
Amazing view from top, nice temple n cave Must visit place
Karnataka's highest peak points and must visit place at morning between 6-8am for very good cloudy view.
Incredible location and climate! A must-see destination. Unfortunately, the parking situation was dire, prompting jeep drivers to charge higher fares to the public.
The place is beautiful. You need to climb approximately 462 steps to reach this peak. The steps are not very steep. The view is beautiful and once you reach the top you can visit the temple.
