Mulberry inn and Cottages - Hotel in Mahabaleshwar, Metgutad - Satara, India

Experience that we had at The Mulberry cottages is so pleasant and satisfying. We went there during peak season right after Diwali fearing that all hotels are bursting with crowd and service may get impacted .However our stay including food , ambience has been amazing and mesmerising . Property 's owner - Shri. Ajay Shinde is a great host and his management style is very hands on . Himself being a professional chef, he gives immense attention to food quality. Whole staff is very courteous and willing to serve . Overall, we are truly satisfied and highly recommend these cottages for families/ friends .

Rooms are neat and clean, nice ambience 8 km far away from Mahableshwar main market. The manager's of this properties are very busy never respond you on time, they think customer are needs of them.

Sorry to say, but this time our experience with Mulberry was totally bad. We have been to this property 4 times now but I think this might be our last visit. Below are some issues that we as a group faced in our visit last week - 1. During arrival, no one came to help us with our bags from Car to room. 2. During Checking, despite having a prior booking we had to wait for 15-20 for room allocation. 3. Cleanliness and hygiene inside was very very poor. 4. We had to remind for fresh towels and water bottle on day 1 and Day 2 we did not receive the same at all. 5. Food delivery was very very slow from your restaurant. 6. Food was not worth the price (Quality and Quantity wise) We as a group had high expectation from the property, but we all were disappointed. I think we will have to search for new property for our next Mahableswar visit

One of the best place to stay in Mahabaleshwar. Most highlighted point is their food taste! I have tasted so many types of Chicken tandoori and leg piece but this place is something else for tandoori items. Super quality food, taste is more than expected 10/10 for food. Evan they arranged prawns for us on special demand and prawns taste was like heaven. 200% recommend for everyone. At least once you try their food. Service was also top class nit and clean and hygiene mainten.

However, upon my arrival at the hotel, which was late at night, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked and there was no room available for me. The manager on duty at that time mentioned that I should not book through "untrusted" sites. I found this statement to be quite perplexing, as the booking platform I used is well-known and widely trusted by travelers all over the world. This situation left me feeling both frustrated and disappointed. I believe that as a guest, I should be able to rely on the information provided by the hotel's online booking system and not be subjected to last-minute cancellations. It raises questions about the hotel's commitment to honoring reservations made through legitimate booking channels. While I understand that overbooking can sometimes happen in the hospitality industry, it's crucial for hotels to handle such situations with transparency and professionalism. Instead, I felt like my reservation was not given the importance it deserved. I hope this feedback helps improve the booking and guest experience at hotel mulberry inn mahableshwar. However, I must respectfully disagree with your explanation. Contrary to what was mentioned, I did provide my contact number during the booking process through the OTA platform. In fact, I received a confirmation message on my phone confirming the reservation, which means you did have access to my contact information. Regarding your claim of contacting me via email, I never received any email from your hotel regarding the room availability issue. I diligently checked my email inbox, including spam folders, and found no communication from your side. Furthermore, I must point out that I did receive one call from your hotel, but I was driving at the time and unable to answer immediately. I made several attempts to contact your hotel back after pulling over, but my calls went unanswered. This suggests a lack of genuine effort to resolve the situation. I would like to emphasize that my intention in leaving a negative review was not to be arrogant, but rather to share my genuine experience and concerns as a guest. It's disheartening to see that your staff has chosen to respond to negative reviews with arrogance rather than addressing the legitimate issues raised by customers. I hope that moving forward, you will take customer feedback seriously and work on improving your communication and customer service practices. Honest and constructive feedback should be valued as an opportunity for growth rather than met with arrogance.
