Religious place. Scenic beauty. 40 km away from Nainital. Go through Bike, Car, Scooty, Cab. Parking is a little challenge You'll get paid meal ( Avg taste as per me) at the entrance of the temple. There will be big queue so better do the Darshan before doing anything else.
This is a 5000 year old Shiva temple. It is famous among locals and tourists. One must visit the same. Since Mukteshwar is a very small place , there are very few tourist attractions. Parking is an issue thus park your car properly
A serene environment pervades the mountain temple, enabling hours to slip away unnoticed. For those with a spiritual inclination, this place may truly feel like paradise. However, beware of the guides, as they may charge exorbitantly without justification.
The temple can be reached from the direct stairs to the temple or through the Chowli Ki Jaali way. The Temple and the surrounding area is breathtaking and the nature here is just awesome. You can spend good time here and at the Chowli Ki Jaali do not forget to sip Malta juice which looks similar to Orange but tastes awesome.
Small heritage temple. Has great historic importance. A hundred feet climb. Good views from this place. Can see Nainital mountain range.
Ancient temple which legend has was promulgated by the Pandavas. Over a 100 steps (LONG) so it's a climb which requires some fitness and faith. However, the temple has a lot of positive energy and the view is worth it all. Holding back a 350-year old heritage is the Mukteshwar temple in Mukteshwar town, Nainital. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is extremely famous among devotees of Lord Shiva. Situated at a height of 2,312 meters above sea level, this temple is both sacred and beautiful. The Pandavas, during their 12 year-long exile, constructed this temple being Shiva followers, in the hope of getting Mukti or salvation from their troubled life. Unlike most popular hill stations, Mukteshwar is an unspoiled natural beauty offering a mesmerizing view of the sun-kissed mountain peaks, beautiful-beyond-words sunset. Jim Corbett, the famous hunter and conservationist, once came to hunt a man-eating tiger at Mukteshwar and immediately fell in love with the place.
A must visit place whenever you are in Nainital. Around 40 km from Nainital, this place is a heaven. Mukteshwar temple is very old temple (Pandavas /Mahabharat linked) . Mukteshwar has a very pleasant weather all year around. Even if it is hot in Nainital or surrounding, you will feel so cool in mukteshwar.
