Must visit place if you are in Bangalore or any nearby city. Want a break with your family? Pack your food and head to this place. Ample space for car parking and having food together while enjoying the scene is different experience altogether. Its as beautiful as it should be. Must visit place if you are planning a day trip to Sangama and Mekedatu. It's on the way. Also please don't leave traces of plastic at this place.
Stopped by the view point on the way back to Bangalore in May 2023 on a Saturday afternoon. The view is pretty good. No facilities around . We stopped for 15 minutes. Enjoyed the view and had a few snacks and continued the journey. Kids can run around and play.
This area is a forest area and one is not supposed to make a stop in this area officially. Leopards are often seen in evening and early morning in this area so be careful. People do bit of cultivation in this area, so limiting the excursions to those areas only is advised. Some parts of the area have decent littering of alcohol bottles / broken glass, so be careful, if your bike get punctured, help will be miles away.
This place comes couple of kms before Sangama River confluence points...there are more or less no marking points. Keep looking on either side (left side - while going to Sangama, has more such spots as in the pic) and take whatever trail you like. The trails become bit difficult after some time, so if you go by heavier bikes, make sure you go only till you can find a you turn.
Chunchi fall - Mekadatu - Mugguru forest - Sangama River conflunce sequence can be followed while being here and can be a decent day outing.
This place is still unknown to many residents in Bangalore. Must visit if you want to enjoy isolated place. It is safe to visit with your friends and family
This place is just a view point of the reserved forest. You have no entry fee or someone else, it's just you and your friend or family. A good spot to take photographs for pre-wedding or personal. It's completely covered with greenery. Do visit this place when your on the way to sangama.
Though we have been to Sangama many a times we did not check out this location. After returning via Sangama to Bangalore today, we got inside in this location as there were many vehicles already parked.
It was just magical location. 360deg view point and the land scape of Hills joining each other and deep forest can be seen. You get good Hyperlapse if you are photography fan. Do visit during sunset.

I would say its Scotland of india. There is beautiful plateau surrounded by layers of mountains.
The best part is, it is exactly on the road. No need to walk, no need to hike.
One of the best place for a family day outing from bangalore.
The road to this place is very scenic. You will definitely stop for pics at couple of places.
Please dont litter and keep the place clean.
It's a beautiful and scenic place located around 3kms before Sangam. You can park your vehicle on the roadside and enjoy the beautiful and scenic views. The car expense of grasslands and the hills as well as valleys look breath taking. Perfect spot to enjoy picnic and have a wonderful time with family and friends. I saw a lot of plastic waste thrown across the area. It's a humble request not to destroy such natural beauties. This viewpoint occurs after the forest checkpost and before KSTDC hotel maurya sangam. Decent hotel with good food but not many options available. There are small stores nearby which sell water... Soft drinks and biscuits and chips. Highly recommended place if you are planning to visit Sangam and Mekedatu.
