Sighting is purely luck. Lots of deer will be seen for sure other than that the roads to safari are not that great as all the animals were running because of the bus sound. Safari timings:- 6am to 9am 3pm to 5pm Tickets are issued only at the centre so make sure you reach early. With this ticket only we can visit elephant camp as well.
Definitely a good experience... you can spot animals like macaque, sambar, deer, fox, elephants easily in wild safari... if you have luck there might be a chance to see tiger& leopard near ponds ...
People at the ticket counter are the worst. They don't know how to communicate, How to behave How to act with a customer. They think that they own the whole forest and treat people with arrogance. Money minded. Just go on the road with your own private vehicle. Safari zeep is just a waste of 4k.
Go for government safari you may see animals like bison, monkeys, different birds, wild pig, peacock, peahen and maybe tiger. Best time to visit is morning and evening
Such a good jungle experience! If you are an animal lover then please do visit this place! The long road drive is smooth but with lots of speed brakers to halt and go! On both the sides of the forest road, you can find lots of animals like different types of deers, monkeys, Indian gaurs, birds and ofcourse the insects and bees buzzing sound! If you are lucky enough, you can find the rare animals like tiger, black panther, cheetah and snakes in the side of the road itself!! There is jungle safari trip, maintained by the forest dept., the jungle safari drive taken inside the forest is a great experience but please do consider the risks as the forest inside doesn't have any good roads so it will be jumping so heavily!! Caution for pregnant mommies!! Any senior citizens and any physically challenged persons must think before taking this drive!! Private jeeps are also available for rent, inside this forest (rental jeeps are bit costly)! For local and international tourists the elephant safari rides cost different prices. The mudhumalai road ends in bandipur.(Tamil Nadu- karnataka boarders). Bandipur is also like mudhumalai forest. We are not supposed to park the vehicles on the road at any cause as it is not a picnic spot! Never feed any animals!! Best trip with children as they can enjoy the live jungle experience. There is a souvenir shop where you can buy mudhumalai memorable toys and clothes. Save tigers
Mudumalai tiger reserve is the forest which has lot of animals and thick forest. During the road journey, you can see animals like deer, elephants, monkeys and many birds like peacock etc. the jungle safari will give lot of forest experience. If you want to try safari, try first trip, which is at 6:30 am or last trip which is at 5:30 pm. Only these trips may give a chance for seeing many animals like, tiger, leopard etc.
The way to Mudumalai is amazing open forest. You will find some beautiful wild life animals. But when hiring a jeep for 350rs to see inside animals is a waste of money. They will take you on top of a mountain on kach--chat road which is not worthy to see. What you see during your bus or car drive to the entrance of Forrest, the place of hiring jeep is enough.
Original experience of Jungle and you'll definitely love all the animals over here.
