Mudhouse Experiential Hostels by Elivingproject - Backpacker Hostel in Jibhi, Rashala - Kullu, India

I lived in Mudhouse for over a week. It's a beautiful spot surrounded by pine trees and river on one side. I was on my first solo trip and this place is exactly what I needed. The host and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. While you get your space, you can also meet amazing travellers here when you feel like getting out of your shell. There are multiple treks that you can pull off alone from this place and the host, Saswath helped me out with all the details. Lastly, the food is simple and homely, just what you need :) Will for sure recommend this and also re-visit :) Thanks for the hospitality.

Mudhouse was for sure the best decision we took while planning a trip to jibhi. The location is amazing, it's very close to the market area. Mudhouse is right at the river side and you can walk down to the river, you can also hear the river from your room and balcony. The balcony and rooms are all super beautiful, and is is the wall art of the structure. The cafe is a lovely place to sit and I loved sitting and reading in the rocking chair in the cafe. Titu bhai and Lucky bhai makes really sumptuous food, from dal fry and aloo jeera to pancakes and mushroom cheese omelettes - trust me it's all finger licking good. They, along with Saswatha, made us feel right at home, helped us find good spots to travel to, arranged cabs, cooked super amazing food and gave us lots of time, comfort, warmth, honey lemon ginger and stories. We also got to meet really nice, like-minded co-travellers in the property. Huge shout out to the Mudhouse team and hugs to all three of you! My name's Rizul, I stayed at Mudhouse for 2 days and the overall experience was really calming. I took a bed in the dorm room, the rooms had a very peaceful vibe and were kept very clean. Thanks to sashwat bhaiya (the manager of this place) for making my experience worth remembering, throughout the stay he was there with me as a big brother and guided me around. The environment was really friendly and there's a cafe where you can sit, chill, work, interact. Will highly recommend this place if you're a solo traveler and planning to stay in jibhi. I wish I could I pen down everything I am feeling right now. I am writing this while I am on my way back to Delhi. My heart is full and so is my soul. This was my first solo trip and I am longing for more now. The first day which started with awkward talks and a little concern about how do I go around people ended with laughter until my stomach hurt. So here's to the lovely staff who made me gorge on these lovely parathas and Shashwat who made it memorable. Here's to more solo trips.

The experience here suits the nomenclature of 'experiential hostel'. This is my first solo trip and it was literally magical from day one. Stayed here for 5 days, where you can enjoy solitude and enjoy the company of like-minded other solo travellers. When it comes to location, this is the best place to experience riverside view, bus stop and market place all at walkable distance. It is literally equidistant to places like Jalori pass (Serolsar lake trek & Raghupur fort trek), Baloo temple, Chehni Koti. In fact you can walk to places like Kulhi Katandi(Mini Thailand) and Jibhi waterfall. Sashwat is the most helpful and engaging person who became a brother away from home. You can get a lot of travel ideas from this experiential person at an experiential hostel...By the way, the rates are relatively low when compared to other properties.

Great for a riverside experience at a really good location in Jibhi. Slightly away from the hustle bustle but close enough to the main market. Shashwat and his team are amazing!

Stayed there during my first solo trip, this place is definitely a vibe. Staff is very generous and the host Mr.Saswata is really a good and helpful guy. Will surely visit again.

I had a week's stay here and I honestly can't describe in words. It felt like home in the hills. Food, cafe, games, star gazing, cutest pups and made some amazing friends for life.
