As always, MTDC has a great location and as always there are issues of maintenance. The room price is also quite high. But overall stay is good, ample space to roam about within the property. Canteen is decent, food is tasty, however options are limited.
Very good place to stay in Matheran. Clean rooms. Great management. Food is the best part here. High quality, test and cleanliness. Complimentary breakfast is really good service they offer. Close to parking.
Room service providers were absent for about 6 hours. I had to search for them to repair the flush tank. No complaint book available. Only suggestion sheet provided without serial number on it. No one will come to know whether any action is taken on those complaints/suggestions.
It was pretty great. The food (paid) itself was pretty nice. The room service was also good. However the complementary meals were completely abysmal. However I did not expect much from the beginning. It still dissapointed with its small variety and sub-par taste
Non-Ac standard rooms are too small if you are planning to visit along with kids or family then go for AC Family Suit rooms. The price difference is less but the rooms are huge, have sofa and chairs, seat out outside the room. You can also take an extra bed at additional cost. The location is super awesome as soon as you reach Aman Lodge by taxi and then you can walk around 500 meters to reach the resort. The staff was good and helpful, and the food was delicious.
Bathroom was not clean, dust all over the room, bedsheet and duvet was not clean, found one cockroach on bed, we have asked them to clean the room and replace the bedsheet and duvet. Finding a gom(centipede) inside room was really a nightmare, finally we decided to leave did the early checkout. Property is good, location is good but the service and maintenence of the property is very poor. Food was ok but very limited options. Management should really take this feedback as eye opener and take it positively to improve the services.
Booked a standard room...The room was excellent...Evrything is properly managed and great hospitality too...The resort is near the entrance and also Aman Lodge Station...
Stayed for 3 nights. Walking distance from Dasturi parking place. Excellent location and well maintained rooms. Service was good. Can visit Matheran by toy train or horses or hand pulled rickshaw.
