My stay at MTDC Karla Hotel in Lonavala was a delightful experience. The serene ambiance, surrounded by lush greenery, provided a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The well-appointed rooms were comfortable and offered a scenic view, enhancing the overall stay. The staff's hospitality was commendable, ensuring a pleasant and hassle-free experience. The hotel's proximity to the Karla Caves and other attractions was an added advantage, making it convenient for exploration. Whether it was the delicious on-site dining options or the peaceful atmosphere, MTDC Karla Hotel exceeded expectations, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a relaxing getaway in Lonavala.
Excellent location and a nice hotel. They have a sizable space with numerous trees. Wonderful accommodations include rooms with gardens. The restaurant staff as well as the rest of the employees were quite helpful. I just have one criticism: the cleanliness of the rooms should be improved. The rooms had some cockroaches, and the cupboards smelled awful.
One of the best properties MTDC has ever got, but I think they don't care about it. 1. No intercom available in any of the rooms 2. Room service not at all up to the mark 3. Rooms are very so so 4. The restaurant staff is very arrogant, A few of the staff members were not at all helpful 5. When we ordered tea, we got an answer that until rain stops we won't come. 6. There is a lot of scope for improvement. 7. I feel few people need proper training on how to interact with the customer. 8. Property needs to be clean and Neat 9. Visited their water park, which has few good rides, but the entire water has turned green, It feels like it's been ages since they have cleared the water. 10. When it comes to the price, the service we get here is not at all worth it. MTDC authorities must look.
Location is great. You can access Ekvira Devi Temple and Wet & Joy in just 10 min by car or bike. Surrounded by huge and great number of different trees, have many butterflies, birds. Construction is old and need repair atany places However their chef is great, the food was amazingly tasty. Veg Crispy is must try. Only if they get 15 people or more, then only Water Park can be opened for the day, else it will be closed. This was the major drawback.
The location & ambience of the property is awesome. If you are a natural lover, visit the place during weekdays so that you can get a calm & quiet environment. The food available at the MTDC restaurant is good. Unfortunately, the rooms are not upto the mark. The gallery of the rooms and surroundings are not cleaned properly. Though the property is beautiful, the management is not taking care of the rooms & service.
If you are looking for a calm and quite holiday with serene nature, look no further and go ahead and book MTDC Karla, near Lonavala. This resort is surrounded by full of tree as and feel like you are staying in a forest. A decent restaurant serves good food although limited options. They have their own water park to enjoy, which kids really like. The accommodations facility is quite decent but don't expect great hospitality here. They have ample space for parking. Overall quite decent but can improve facilities and hospitality. Recommended for family !
Stayed in room 53, clean non smelly spacious room, with 90+ mix language channels functional, starting the Tv is a manual process, two bottles of water are provided with mosquito repellent and small soap, towels were clean, car parking next to the room. Hot water is available, Complementary breakfast is available in the morning with limited options, make sure to be there on time. Indian and Chinese lunch and dinner options are available, main water is available at mrp avoid carrying, however the room is far. The location is scenic and there is a lot of space to walk - make sure you walk in the center as the edge of the road is slippery, as mentioned the place hosts a water park 11:30 to 5:00pm, 15 people required to start the park, entery charged at 300/- per person, is as good as fari-as, again safety is your own responsibility. Staff are warm and homely, but limited. Don't expect a professional approach like high end hotels. Boating is closed, and I heard play areas will be repaired by Diwali.
Amazing Place. I booked a garden room ac and it was amazing. The room and toilet was clean. Got 100% privacy. The property is huge with a mini water park inside and a river flowing beside it. Even in a hot month like May there was greenery everywhere. Arguably the best MTDC resort. Also it is one of the best resort in Lonavla when it comes to a pocket friendly choice.
