MRITYUNJAY A multicusine family restaurant Resturant - Restaurant in Kolkata, Baidyabati - Hooghly, India

This is one of the best restaurants in Hooghly district. I already visited this place 3-4 times, this time I'm posting a review for this place. In one sentence you can describe this place as a Premium feeling restaurant at an almost reasonable price. Word of advice don't try Chinese from here. The ambience is lovely and the staff's behaviour is good as well. Spacious restaurant. We ordered 2 mocktails Blue Lagoon Mango delight Mango delight is the must try mocktail from here. Then we ordered fish kurkure, which is different looking than other fish items in the starter but tasted so good. Although it was made of Basa fish. (I am uploading pictures as well please check those as well) Then in main course we went for Peshawari polao Mutton RaRa Mirch murg Masala Tandoori Roti. Peshawari polao is really great full of kismis kaju and other stuffs and chunks of fresh panir it was very tasty. Mirch murg masala as well one of the great item from them it is not so spicy 8 chicken strips type pieces ofcourse boneless great with Tandoori Roti which soft as well. Now Mutton RaRa which i didn't like at all that is why i gave them 3 star actually I don't order mutton from every place but this time did and they really disappointed me with this dish, mutton was hard,tasted not so fresh and very very chewy which is actually not expected from this place at all. So beware before ordering Mutton dishes from here , actually ask them before ordering, whether it is fresh or good or not. I am uploading all the pictures as well please see all those. The experience in the restaurant is okay-ish, but the staff service is good, they offered a cake stand and matches, because we went to celebrate a birthday. Coming to the quality of food, we ordered- Hot and Sour Chicken Soup Crispy chilli babycorn Chicken fried rice Chilli mushroom Hunan chicken Among these the hot and sour chicken soup, babycorn and Hunan chicken were really out the world good, but the chilli mushroom was too liquid-y, and the chicken fried rice could have been better. I say better because the quality was really good back in 2014-19. Also, the restaurant had two floors when I last visited but now it's just the ground floor. Good experience overall, but there are buts- like the dim lighting.

Taste and food quality were extremely poor. Mrityunjay is well known for their quality of sweets. I have not expected such poor quality food dishes, with awful taste.

Mrityunjoy is run by greedy people is all that I can say. For mixed hakka noodles they charge around 275 per plate and trust me, the food we get on the streets of Dalhousie and Camac Strt are better cooked. The prawns they added in the noodles are deep fried using turmeric! Pathetic food really. The chilli fish or chicken are not worth remembering at all. Even for their mughlai dishes, all the gravies taste the same!!

Ambience of the restaurant was nice. But food quality needs to be improved. Veg manchow soup was without salt.. salt and pepper fish was not upto the mark..

Both the food and the service was great. Went out with my brothers on rakshabandhan.... It's a great place for family or friends lunch or dinner dates

Their biriyani is very dry, their ambience are not good enough. I recommend their owner to make more hygienic foods for customer.

They serve delicious food. The service is very quick. The behaviour of the staff is very good
